This along withGrossmunster , wonderful history beautiful architecture and history . An Abby run by the two daughters of king Ludwig .. I might be getting this mixed up with Fraumunster but they are both beautiful .

Fraumunster Church is in a lively area and is the focal point for many beautiful photos of Zurich, especially at night. We found several arts and autumn festivals in the area as well as many restaurants and food/drink vendors. Check ahead to make sure church is open if you want to see the Chagall stained glass from the inside.

When in Zürich, make sure to enter the Fraumunster church. Its stained glass by Marc Chagall is unlike any other stained glass you’ve ever seen!
Know that the entrance is CHF5 per person, no photos allowed.
And it’s free for students and kids up to 16 years old !

A lovely church by the river and lake in the old town of Zurich. If you’re lucky you might even catch a wedding on like we did.

In the square Münsterhof next to Fraumünster one can enjoy only until 17 September a special Art intervention. The Swiss Artist Heinrich Gartentor displayed here several hundred square meters of rough pasture, just like in the countryside. They create a small park area with boardwalks where people can stroll around and enjoy the rural biodiversity. This intervention is a social, cultural and of course climatical experiment.
