Let's start with the food. The home made ravioli and tortellini are best in town. The menu contains pretty much all of the favourite Italian dishes and they are all very well executed. Special request are always met with a smile. The wine list is obsiously dominated by Italian wines - at an excellent value for money. In terms of interior, the l'Altro isn't the most flashy or oppulent or hip Italian restaurant in Zurich - it actually looks a bit dated but in a very charming way. It's not on the lake, it's not in the very hart of the center of town, it does not get any walk-in clients and yet it's most of the times packed. What makes the biggest difference to us is that when you go the second time, they still know you, they treat their guests like friends of the house and it's that warmth that makes l'Altro our favourite Italian in Zurich.
