Too often the Swiss restaurant goer is disappointed by bland food, unfriendly service staff and high prices and might as well save gastronomic outings to friendlier and lesse expensive places. However there are exceptions and Bü's is definitely one.
Very friendly service staff, including the boss himself, greeting the customer and listening to the customer. A superb selection of wines with recommendation from a genuine wine lover and conoisseur. The menu too is worthwhile noticing. There are the classics which are however augmented with dishes of mediteranean gusto. So there is a pleasant variety of choices.
The food matches the rest. nicely prepared, not overly pretentious and well tasting. The tartar was splendid, the season salad may be a tad bit bland.
Prices are within reason for downtown Zurich.
Overall a pleasant surprise in an often disappointing saturated Zurich gastro scene.
