I've been to the Nachtigall a couple of times and I usually order the Kalbsschnitzel which has always been great (and huuuge).
However, this time I wanted to try something else and ordered kangaroo on the "hot stone". So far, I have always been pleased by the food served at the Nachtigall but I was very disappointed by how the meat was presented (see photo). The filet had been cut in such way that one could not determine if it had been one piece of meat to begin with. I complained and the waitress told me that they cut all the meat differently in order to distinguish the various meats. In my opinion, not the best system.
Neverheless, the Nachtigall serves solid, down to earth food in a very casual atmosphere. If you are in the mood for a relaxed dinner and don't want to spend too much, you should definitely visit the Nachtigall!
