Great hotel -- very modern and clean and very friendly staff. Easy to reach on foot from train station. However, since Zug is all about lots of money, it's expensive. 15 minute walk to center of town and lake.

I stayed at the City Garden Hotel for one night whilst working in nearby Baar. The hotel is stylish, the staff are efficient and friendly and the room was comfortable. It was easy to reach from the train station. Overall it was a great place to stay but very expensive (£203) in UK terms.

I guess things are pricey in Switzerland but this seemed very expensive and so is difficult to recommend despite the excellent rooms and service.

First off, there is not too much to do in Zug, the hotel is located less than two blocks away from the mall and about 4 from the railway station so i guess we can call it centric.

The rooms are modern and very clean, with a good housekeeping service. The restaurant is at the lobby and has great service during the evenings. The food is also very good, and portions are fair. Coming from central america, this is a bit pricey but in the end if you end up in zug it is worth the stay.

Stayed here for just a night. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The rooms were modern and comfortable. The food was good (both dinner and breakfast). The dining area was virtually in the reception area and this coupled with the gloomy black paint made the reception/dining area very cold and gloomy. My biggest issue is that it is a very expensive hotel so on a value for money basis the hotel does not rank well.

I stayed here for four nights on business and on the whole found the hotel and staff very pleasant.

Firstly lets get my disappointment out of the way...
I arrived on a Sunday afternoon and a colleague arrived a few hours later. What as disappointing was not being able to get a meal or drink in the hotel on a Sunday, very odd in this day and age.
We ended up having to find somewhere else to eat and having to use the sister hotel to have a drink. Not what you expect in a modern hotel.

Now onto the good points.
The staff were friendly and courteous and helpful with any queries.
The rooms are very modern but comfortable, I slept very well and found the bed very good.
The open plan style arrangement will not suit everyone, but being on my own it was fine.

Location wise the hotel is good, and is only a short walk from the train station and main business parts of the town.
There are plenty of coffee shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance.

So would I stay here again? Yes I think I would. The hotel is clean smart and modern and quite pleasant.
