This restaurant has recently replaced a café that did good business, largely because it is sited right at the entrance of the main shopping mall. The premises made sense for a café - you can access it from the High Street or from inside the shopping mall. The site is less attractive for a restaurant.
We decided to try it nonetheless. A large board outside offered special menus for each day of the week (essentially a soup and a main course for the price of the main course).
We ordered from this menu, only to be told it had all gone "as it was mainly for lunchtime". Not a good start.
An average lasagne and a reasonable pizza followed, alongside some rather expensive wine.
The quality was about the same as Pizza Express - and the prices just over double. There are better Italian restaurants in Montreux that do not have a TV on, where the lighting is slightly dimmer, and where you don't stare out at the closed (it was in the evening) shopping mall.
