“Exquisite”
Reviewed September 13, 2013

The promenade along the lake in Montreux is absolutely one of the most beautiful spots that I have seen. The flowers are abundant all along the way. The whole walk is breathtaking between the lake and mountain views and the flowers. Wonderful!!! Do be careful of cyclists. They do not have clearly marked lanes and it can be dangerous as they tend to speed along without much regard for the pedestrians.

“A walk to remember”
Reviewed September 12, 2013

This walkway is so beautifully landscaped. We enjoyed walking along seeing the many different plants and "vehicles" along the way. Yes, they literally have vehicles incorporated throughout the flowerbeds. We got a kick out them. A word of caution while walking is to be cautious of the bike riders. Some travel quite fast and seem a tad impatient with walkers.

“Heaven On Earth”
Reviewed September 12, 2013

I have travelled a lot but I hve not seen such a colorful promenade full of fascinating flowers and contemporary sculptures and installations. The Geneva Lake, the Alp Mountains, the Belle Epoque boats, the swans, the ducks and the birds were so interesting...We loved to walk every morning and afternoon for hours. There is a very nice cafe-restaurant at Territet, delicious food and reasonable bill.

“Beautiful plants and interesting art”
Reviewed September 7, 2013 via mobile

This walk along the Lake is well marked if you arrive at the Montreux train station. We walked from the ferry dock to the large metal pavilion where we caught the #201 bus to the Chateau.

The plants are beautiful and the modern art made from tires or bike wheels was interesting. We had a great pizza at La Terrasse which wasn't any more expensive than any other restaurant in Switzerland. The food choices along the promenade ranged from take away only to nicer sit-down restaurants.
