Bon Port is right near the gorgeous lake front in Montreux, and is well priced for this area. Rooms were functional - nothing special, although we appreciated the kettle and coffee/tea in the room. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we got a card for free bus rides in the local area at reception (unsure what they we called).

The only problem we had with the bed was that the duvet was far too small, but the next day after asking we were given another one, so that we had two duvets to cover the one bed.

The wifi was good (and free), and the breakfast I though was a bit overpriced for what it was.

We had a lovely stay in Montreux, great place to visit.

My wife Dawn and I have just returned from Montreux , we were there on a wekend leisure break, we are frequent travellers to Montreux every year and have a wide range of experience of several Hotels in the area to date.
The Bon Port is a small Hotel which is easy to locate , near the town Centre and very close to the Lake.
We found the staff very helpful, especially Richard, who was happy to assist us in the dining room and give us good advice on the local area as well as being happy to chat and make us very welcome in the Hotel.
All staff were helpful and very pleasant and courteous at all times, we had a lovely weekend here and will certainly use this Hotel again, The room was large enough for the two of us, Clean , warm and tidy with all of the amenities that you would need and it had the bonus of including a kettle in the room, a lot of Swiss Hotels dont include one.
Breakfast was well priced in comparison with others nearby, it was continental and everything was fresh and well presented and set us up for the day ahead very well, If you are a Freddie Mercury fan, the Hotel is only a two minute stroll from Montreux Casino which hosts the Queen Studio Experience exhibition and a five minute walk to Freddies Statue by the Lakeside.
many Thanks to all for a lovely weekend and we look forward to returning soon.

Do not stay at this hotel, unless you enjoy being yelled at by someone who is supposed to be providing you customer service.

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel, and everything about it is mediocre with the exception of the horrendous customer service -- something the hotel manager has no concept of. During our stay there we witnessed the manager yelling at other guests for ringing the bell at the desk too many times. Near the beginning of our visit we asked the manager to fix/unlock the safe in our room that previous guests left locked; this never happened and there was no explanation even though the manager promised it would be done while we were out one day.

The major problem we had occurred when we were leaving the hotel on our last day. The night before we had parked our car in the parking garage, and left the key with the manager in case it needed to be moved in their small garage. When we went to place our luggage in the car the next morning, we found that our car had been moved. We immediately noticed that the driver's door was very close to a concrete pillar, blocking it from fully opening, and that there was a wide white streak along the driver's side of the car. We wanted to know how our car came to have this white streak on it, and we wanted to know how whoever moved the car got out of it. We initially spoke to the employee at the desk that morning and showed her the car. She agreed the car was very close to the concrete pillar and acknowledged the white streak on our car. However, she said the manager must have moved it the previous night, and she didn't know anything about it. She offered to call the manager, and when we spoke to him over the phone he immediately became defensive and started accusing us of having something against him personally. We just wanted to know how our car came to be in the condition we found it. He yelled and ranted on and proceeded to tell us we should call the cops if we had a problem.

Needless to say we did not think it was necessary to overreact to the situation. Eventually the manager decided he could not stand to talk to us anymore, and the employee at the desk did not believe she had authority to resolve the situation herself, even though she acknowledged the manager must have rubbed himself up against our car causing the white streak. We were told the manager would write us an email later that day as to whether we would get some reduction in the parking fee. The email never came, and our credit card was ultimately charged the full amount for parking. The complete lack of professionalism by the manager was disappointing and soured our experience.

I was impressed with the room image, marketing texts together with attractive rate while booking this hotel. However, the hotel is not as good as it should be at all. Price is too high without breakfast & internet. Staffs are not helpful and room is very small and quite dirty. The reception is just look like 1 star motel. Facilities are tired esp carpets and furniture. Since they charge high rate breakfast and internet, I'd suggest to book other hotel.

Room Tip: Must reserve parking before

The hotel is a relatively short walk from the station and close to the shore of Lake Geneva. You can walk to the Chillon Castle in about 30 minutes by following the pedestrian path along the Lake. Breakfast is not included in the price which is rather high for what I consider a three star hotel. (15 Swiss Francs is too much for breakfast, and I didn't see many takers.) The room was clean and comfortable, and there was a coffee pot for making instant coffee. Wi-fi costs extra, (it should be included at all hotels in my opinion), although there is one free computer by the front desk.
