Great food, big portions, ordered veal, venison, and pork. All were great. Interior design is plain, but you ll be concentrating on food.

“Great Food. Great Service.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 6, 2013

We had eaten at the previous incarnation of the restaurant just a few doors down years ago but this was out first visit to the new location. To my knowledge the chef/owner are the same.

The restaurant features both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is a mix of traditional and regional specialties. The salads are huge and were amazing. The "Suisse" Rosti (with slab bacon and fried eggs) was among the best I had in Montreux -- perfectly cooked and not greasy at all. My partner had one of the veal specials that was served French table-style with it plated table-side. The food was well-prepared and very good. The portions were very large as well.

The service was phenomenal. Our waiter was extremely efficient but also gave local recommendations of things to do and see -- which is always nice. When the chef hear we had visited the old restaurant he made a point to come out for a chat. I will definitely be going back on my next visit.

“It used to be a better restaurant.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 3, 2013 via mobile

The location of this resaurant is really great. The food used to be better, because there were better cooks. French fries, fondue, the salads and the deserts are the foods that really can be eaten. But the schnitzel and the cafe de Paris steak are disgusting! Cafe de Paris is made from different mutton and beef, often has fat on it! If you visit it often, everybody remembers you, and you feel like home there. The owner/the chief cook often comes out of the kitchen to say "Hello!", to ask how is the food, and the value could come cheaper after they have changed cooks.
