We had eaten at the previous incarnation of the restaurant just a few doors down years ago but this was out first visit to the new location. To my knowledge the chef/owner are the same.
The restaurant features both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is a mix of traditional and regional specialties. The salads are huge and were amazing. The "Suisse" Rosti (with slab bacon and fried eggs) was among the best I had in Montreux -- perfectly cooked and not greasy at all. My partner had one of the veal specials that was served French table-style with it plated table-side. The food was well-prepared and very good. The portions were very large as well.
The service was phenomenal. Our waiter was extremely efficient but also gave local recommendations of things to do and see -- which is always nice. When the chef hear we had visited the old restaurant he made a point to come out for a chat. I will definitely be going back on my next visit.
