Yvan, Gregory, and David run this family-owned, quaint, and centrally located hotel. The beds are comfortable and the view is unbeatable! The boat stop is right outside the front door and just a short walk away from the train. Would recommend this hotel to all friends and family, and will definitely return to visit this amazing family in this beautiful city.

We spent a weekend here to see the sights of the famed Montreux with friends. When we stayed, the hotel was undergoing some renovations, some of the rooms had been re-done, others not. On our first night, we were given a room which had not been renovated. It was very tired and stank of cigarette smoke (to the point we had to sleep with the window open overlooking the main road). We complained the next morning and the manager first told me it was not possible for the room to smell of smoke, but after inspecting it, apologised profusely and changed our room for one of the newly renovated rooms for the second night. This was much better, basic but bright and clean. Breakfast was not great, you are delivered two huge inflated pastries and there is a small selection of other items. We didn't enjoy it too much.

The manager was excellent and the location was central to the lake and activities. Room was clean , the free breakfast had a view overlooking the lake. Good price.
Parking in a lot or on street was simple. Cross the street and stroll along the lake to the chateaux de Chillon. Free bus back with city card from hotel .

We loved Hotel Splendid and our visit to Montreux. We paid extra for the lakeside room and wow, it was worth it. We sat on the porch and watched the sunset over Lake Geneva. What a great view of an amazing place. Newly renovated room was terrific.

Yvan took care of us from the moment we arrived and provided additional services we did not expect of him. Yvan even helped us get into a Geneva hotel for our departure night. Highly recommend Hotel Splendid and hope to return to Montreux and this hotel in the future. Terrific hotel and terrific owners.

Room tip: Lakeside view is awesome.

Location was perfect, right in the center of Montreux and very close to the Freddie Mercury statue and the museum of Queen (Casino).

The boat pier and Tourist Info center is directly across the street. ,,

The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful in making suggestions for our sight seeing, holding our luggage and generally, making us feel welcome in their town.

Breakfast was nice - a good selection of breads, yogurt, fruit and beverages.

The room was spotless and large by European standards.

Free transportation card (ask for it) for duration of stay.

The shower system is also good.

Supermarket (Migros and Coop), restaurants, bars, shopping street, train station and bus stop: less than 5 minutes walking distance. Tip: get the room with the lake view. It’s worth it. We definitely hope to return someday soon.
