"Le Chalet Suisse" is a typical swiss restaurant located on the top of Lausanne, in the proximity of the Sauvabelin tower. This restaurant has a very nice view over the Lausanne city and the Leman lake. The food quality is also good and it's possible to order unlimited dishes of raclette ("raclette a discretion"). However, after 5-6 dishes you might want to stop, although I ate 7. Besides fondue and raclette you can eat also duck, beef or chicken. While I was never disappointed by the food, I have to say that this restaurant scores really bad for the service quality. One of the waiters has the habit of being rude and making weird jokes (he displays weary face when you order, then he makes strange gestures if you want another dish of raclette). Finally, after he has been on this ludic and strange act for the whole evening, he forgets to bring stuff on the table, which will attract another of his weary faces. He could be easily recognized as the "Monty Python of the Chalet Suisse". Otherwise, it's a good restaurant.
