Took the ferry across the lake to Evian for lunch and walked around the old town, had a nice lunch outside in a shady spot, and walked to the Source of Evian water to fill up our bottles.

You should take the opportunity for a walk around the harbour because it is so clean compared to many other cities of the world. There is no admission charge to walk around and see what is happening here. Nice and peaceful way to take in the area and see what Lausanne is all about. There are several few food outlets dotted about the place and you can catch one of the ferries across Lake Lausanne directly to many destinations if your journeys take you across the waves. The train station is located right on the doorstep of Le Port d'Ouchy as well, so you can move around the place in a couple of ways for keeping things interesting.There are plenty of small sailing boats at Lake Lausanne too.
