Decommissioned in 2002, the Helvetie was built in 1923 as the third steam boat of the CGN fleet. Now docked at a pier opposite the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, it serves as an auxiliary museum highlighting the history of the Modern Olympic movement from 1996 to the present. Beautifully restored and renovated from 2013-2014, entry is complimentary and well worthy a stop.
A fleet of CGN Belle Époque steam ships still cruise Lake Geneva with a variety of itineraries and ports of call.
