An ideal, reasonably priced hotel for visiting Lausanne and the surrounding area. With the super efficient Metro literally next door giving access to the city and to the rail station at Lausanne Gare you could not be better placed. The free Metro pass was a big bonus. The tourist office was also nearby. The rooms facing onto the lake were fine with the usual facilities. Curtains, carpets and decoration a bit tired but very clean with a comfortable bed. Most of the staff spoke English and were very helpful and efficient. Lovely walks nearby into the Olympic Park and along the lakeside. Like other contributors I must give a cost warning since the pound dipped in value. Eating out is extremely expensive and at least two or three times more costly than we would expect in the UK.

Room tip: Higher rooms quieter and despite have day time traffic overnight was peaceful and undisturbed..

Stayed on a business trip yo the region and the is my go to place in Lausanne. Lovely hotel and very friendly staff.
Great rooms but no view as I booked the cheaper none lake side of the hotel.
Free wifi was very good and the breakfast was great at the restaurant.
Only tiny Cristian is the lifts can take ages especially if you are on the top floor.
Overall. A fantastic place

Nice room with lovely view right down the lake to the sunset.
Room nicely decorated but a few bits were tired, carpet needed replacing.
Beds comfortable. Kettle in room.
Remember to close curtains on South facing rooms.
No aircon but a large fan.
Can hear the boats/ traffic, but it was quiet during the night.
I think I have been generous, better than average but not really very good.
Could be better. Staff very helpful.
Free bus and metro pass. Right next to metro and near bus stops with frequent service.
Prices in Switzerland are very high and Lausanne suffers from a lack of public toilets especially near St Francois bus stops.

Stayed here for 6 nights in September. Rooms are properly equiped, beds are nice and hard (which I like) and a pretty big bathroom. All spotless clean.

Lighting is not opitmal but this is only a minor issue. Internet connection is stable and for free.

Breakfast had sufficient choice for me, a bit French style. No cooked breakfast, only boiled eggs but there was sufficient choice.

Did not use the restaurant for dinner so cannot judge that.

There is no airco in the room so when there are high temperatures the room can be pretty hot. During my stay it was pretty hot in Lausanne so the first few nights I simply slept without any cover as it was simply too hot.

The hotel is located at the lake side so all rooms have a lake view, all rooms have a balcony, small or large.

There is a quite busy street between the hotel and the lake so when you have opened the window it can be rather noisy. Some colleagues suffered from that the first couple of nights.

The subway line to the central station is right next to the hotel so very convenient when travelling to Lausanne by train, short walk to the metro and you are right at the lake side.

Overall I can recommend this hotel for your stay in Lausanne.

First of all, Lausanne as a whole was a big disappointment. If you're vacationing in Switzerland, the only thing to really see here is the Chateau which was very nice but not essential to see. If I had a do-over, I would have spent more time in Murren and skipped Lausanne. Having said that, this hotel was okay for the area. It is located on the lake which is very nice. We were upgraded to a lake view room which is a double-edged sword. The hotel has no a/c which is fairly typical in Europe but the lake view rooms get afternoon sun. As such, the room was sweltering hot. We opened the windows which allows all the flies to come in as well. Also, the street noise is substantial as the hotel is on a crazy busy street. My parents had a city view room (which looked out onto an employee parking lot) and was significantly cooler. They did offer small fans which helped - a little.

We came on a weekend and got their weekend special which included dinner and breakfast. The dinner was surprisingly awesome and easily worth $50 per person given the ridiculous cost of eating in Switzerland (mainly because their minimum wage is $25/hr). The breakfast was nice also.

In short, if you have to go to Lausanne, this is a good option especially if you can get the weekend special. By the way, parking is across the street and costs $15 per day.

Room tip: Rooms with lake view get afternoon sun and are crazy hot in the summer. Sacrifice the view for sleep comfort.
