I visited this place twice with colleagues as it is their favourite local restaurant, but I cannot write a positive review as much as I'd like to.

The first time, they first forgot a drink for me after bringing the others (we were 4, so not a big group). Then they brought me the wrong food which was similar to what I ordered so I only noticed half way through. It was still very good so I did not complain.

The second time everything was fine until the dessert. It was a tiramisu that seemed old and melted, but was served anyway. I was afterwards sick the whole afternoon and evening and I am certain it was this tiramisu to blame.

Generally the staff are very friendly and helpful, and other than the tiramisu the food is great quality. They clearly make an effort in most aspects.

My experience obviously does not reflect that of the majority of people, so make up your own mind.

Dear Mr. Alex,

we love the time you are dedicating to our improvement, and we will
certainly build on your positive feelings.

We feel sorry to have disappointed you twice, we are experiencing a
sudden burst in visiting customers, and evidently we still need more
adjusting, but we assure you that our quest to improve is not over yet.

We feel sorry hearing that you didn't experience an healthy afternoon,
we can assure you that the "melted" aspect of our Tiramisu was son of
its freshness, our gifted and dedicated pastry chef made it anew that
morning and it didn't have the canonical 4-5 hours time needed to set.
We take great pride in our tiramisu, and as we are sure you are aware,
we start every morning baking the biscuits and we continue using fresh
coffee and pasteurized eggs in order to make it safely appreciated by
soon to be mothers.

we sincerely hope for a chance of welcoming you again and provide you a
performance more in line with your expectation and our dedication.

kind regards

In short: Calm and nice atmosphere, great service, very good food. Expensive, but that's normal in Switzerland.

People, occasion: We were four friends (two couples), going out for our festive dinner a few days before Christmas.

Price: We had four starters, four pastas, 3'5 desserts (one was a half-portion) and a very expensive bottle of wine, for a total of 430fr. When I say an expensive bottle I don't mean costly, costly would be OK. But 145fr for something you can buy on the street for around 50fr is an expensive markup even for Switzerland. Anyway, we were celebrating Christmas so we went for it.

Food: the three different starters were all great (two of us had the same). Two of the main course pastas were great, one was nice but not fantastic (the same pasta that wasn't great was ordered by two of us). Same with the desserts: two were great (you have to try the melanzane cioccolato!) and one was just OK (passion fruit crème brulée, ordered by two of us). I think the issue is with the description, because the dessert we were served was a passion fruit cream but not at all like a crème brulée, so false expectations that had been generated by the dessert's name were not met.

Service: good, the only thing keeping me from saying "very good" is that the waiter forced me to order a half dessert because it was "too rich". I would’ve appreciated the warning (I guess they've had people saying that dessert is "too much"), but took issue with him imposing the size of my dessert. Let me decide if I want death by chocolate, please.

Verdict: we'll be back to try more pastas! The experience was all in all very good except for a few things that can be easily fixed.

Went with a friend.
Nice environment and ambiance
Quality food
Great wines menu
We enjoyed our experience yet we both agreed that the price we paid was highly opportunistic. We felt cheated on this night out knowing we can go to similar italian restaurants for much better costs.
The wine, a Gaja, was too pricy (on the very very high end) for its year.

But no more for us.... But thanks PeF.

The visit at Past e Sfizi was complete perfect. The service is very nice and all employees speak English. The recommendation of the red wine was perfect. The starter (Tartar) was great and the main dish was excellent. At the end I had a very fine Grappa. The restaurant is modern and still comfortable. It's elegant but not to much and the restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. All in all it was a great idea to visit this restaurant and I'll come back at my next visit in Lausanne. Sure! Thank you to the team of the Pasta e Sfizi for a great and culinary evening.

First time in this restaurant. We ordered a starter "Italia in un piatto". Nice San Daniele ham, mozza di bufala and burrata as well as Coppa were served. Main dish I had the Linguine al'astice e zucchini. Finger licking! My husband had the Linguine al spugnolo e San Daniele. Excellent. Service is very kind and friendly. The downside of this restaurant is the terrace which looks "messy". We wanted to have a drink on their "lounge" corner but just behind us was the kitchen window and though the smells weren't unpleasant, not very nice on your back when you are having a drink. Don't expect any view other than the buildings around it. The restaurant is sitting on the busy street of Ouchy.
