The Olympic Museum Lausanne is not so big, but it doesn't mean it is not fun. It's a great place to learn about Olympic Games, its history, and I learned a lot. Kids and teens will enjoy the many interactive games there, which help them to understand the concepts behind the Games and the special skills an athlete has. The museum also covers records, stories about the architecture in all hosting cities over time, etc. Even younger kids (3, 4, 5 yo) will enjoy as it is not boring as the usual museums that focus on adults. It is education and fun in a single package. You won't regret it. You can park your car on the street, right in front of the Museum (park meter).

Situated incomparably on the shore of languid Lake Leman surrounded by magical mountains, the Olympic Museum is a must see if you visit Lausanne, whether you like sports or not. The story of how the Olympic Games were re-started by Baron Pierre de Chambertin of France and then moved to Lausanne is a story of the indomitable human spirit.

definitely worth the visit if you are in Lausanne. it is easy to find as only a few minutes walk from Ouchy metro stop and on the lake front, The museum collection is over three floors where you can get the history of the games and see the torches, mascots but also some of the shoes and other outfits from famous sportsmen and women
