Switzerland is expensive, folks and what'smore you often regret paying through the nose for what you receive. What a joy, then, to visit the Pinte Besson where we got fantastic, friendly service, and large, reasonably-priced portions of simple and delicious bistrot food (lamb chops, rosti a la vigneron, onglet). The kids got crayons and colouring books and we got reasonably-priced local wine. All of this is to say nothing of the fact that the room itself is a historic treasure (opened in 1750 if the sign out front can be believed). I don't know where else in Lausanne I would recommend.
