Le Cinq is one of the finest places in Lausanne. The restaurant is placed on the 5th floor of a building in the center city Lausanne with a nice balcony. From the moment you go out of the lift, you are warmly welcomed. The service is not only polite but also very funny and with good knowledge of their meals and wines. We went there as a couple and enjoyed our meal from the entry through the desert and can only advise to anyone to go there!

Only bad point? That the restaurant isn't open on Saturdays.

Great lunch menu! Highly recommended. Make sure you book in advance if you want to get a table! Must try the fix menus as the food is amazing!

The name of this restaurant has been changed as 'Le Cing'. The interior decoration of this restaurant is just average, but quite decent. It has a terrace offering outdoor dining seats. Service of the waiter/waitress is attentive. The food quality is very good and we considered it as a modern French restaurant. Highly recommend their seafood menu and Tiramisu. The price is high, but it's deserved. The restaurant is well located just about 5 minutes walk from the Manor's Department Store.

Centrally located on the fifth floor of the Rue Centrale number 5, le Cinquième which changed his name in " Le cinq" is a really nice trendy place. Not overcrowded, small, it's a restaurant where you still can talk while you are dining. The menu is not huge, but everything is well chosen and cooked. The fois gras ( a specialty of the house) is delicious. The fish too and the Simmenthal-meat (premium beef of Swiss origin) exquisite. Give it a try. Fine choice of cheese and some good deserts. The restaurant has 14 points (over 20) on the Gault et Millau. The prices are ok, you can have a three courses menu for about 70 frs. Good value for this quality.
The service is rather amateurish but it doesen't bother too much.
