This was our second stay and we were amazed how a good product got even better. Mario Notti the owner upgrades the hotel regularly and takes personally care of the hotel and its guests - and it shows. A hotel with heart and all the comfort one could wish for. The rooms are modern, clean and feature all the comforts, flat screen TV, IPod, even binoculars to view the Matterhorn from the balcony. We could see the Matterhorn from our bed! Breakfast is extensive and keeps you going until dinner time. The location is so central, just a few steps from the center near the church. There are a number of great restaurants just near the hotel. Having room and breakfast at this hotel is so much better than having half pension as some hotels demand. This gives you the freedom to explore different restaurants and different kinds of food. We shall return.

Room Tip: For a first time visit to Zermatt chose a Matterhorn facing room, worth the cost.

Amazing hotel in an amazing town. Called the hotel when we arrived by train and they promptly came and picked us up. Checked in and the manager of the hotel personally took us to our room and showed us how it all worked. We initially booked a budget room but ended up upgrading at a later date and we are so glad that we did. Our room was beautiful with an amazing view of the mattahorn. Manager was very friendly, highlighted a map of the town of places to visit and offered help wherever possible. All the staff their were very friendly. When we checked out they even drove us to the train station. I could not fault this hotel at all and we were very sad to leave.

Upon check in we were upgraded to a larger room which was quite nice. Then when we asked to extend an additional night we were moved to a lower quality room. The ceiling was slanted so we had to always duck our heads when getting out of bed, and the shower consisted of a hand-held shower head that leaked. The breakfast grew tiresome. Unfavorable exchange rate. Save your money and go to Greece.

This hotel sets the gold standard for top quality service and accommodations. It is a 5-minute walk to the main street so it is in a quiet location. The owners couldn't be more helpful and service-oriented. We had a beautiful room with a balcony and no detail was left unattended. The bathroom included heated floors, a beautifully-tiled shower with rain head shower system and above-counter sink. The room was a nice size with plenty of space to walk around. The lobby was beautiful with a wood-burning fireplace in the middle of the area. The owners gave you an iPad to use in the lobby to check your e-mails, or there is a computer by the elevators if you want some privacy. The fresh-squeezed orange juice and capuccino for breakfast each morning was fabulous! The owner even drove us to the train station upon our departure! This was by far the best hotel that we stayed in Switzerland. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is staying in Zermatt.

Superb hotel owned and run by the wonderful Mario and Katia who are always on hand to answer every question.
Our junior suite was spacious and well equipped and the little touches made it perfect.
Wellness Centre was a joy after long walks and really excellent for a hotel with only 26 rooms.
Surely this has to be the best boutique hotel in Zermatt.
The décor is contemporary alpine is extremely comfortable and of the highest quality.
We booked again immediately and will recommend it to everybody

My wife and 2 young children recently stayed here for a trip to Zermatt. The rooms are a good size, warm feeling and has high quality furnishings. The breakfast is simple but good with all that you need - fresh orange juice, home made jams, breads, cereals, cold cuts, etc. Katja is also a superb host, she deals with issues quickly and makes you feel very welcome - a true professional. Also we found the location of the hotel to also be really good - Zermatt is small but if you are on the main street then it can feel crowded. Equally if you are too far away then it is a trek to get to the centre, food, shops etc. This place had the right balance and we enjoyed the weekend parade from our balcony.

Room Tip: The 1st floor rooms have a big balcony which you may find useful.
