We stayed here for 2 nights in a double room in 3rd floor, the room is small but enough for us with our 2 big suitcases, the bathroom with bathtub is so clean and modern with the heating towel rail, which we could dry our socks or clothes too. The only minus point is our room is facing the street, so we were disturbed by the pedestrians talking noises every time they pass by, eapecially early in the morning. Keep in mind that there are few more hotels at the other end, so many pedestrians will pass by here. It's better to choose a room not facing the street.

The breakfast is great, swiss breakfast with many choice of fruits. We were so happy they provided hot boiled eggs.

The staff here is quite helpful and friendly, especially Ms Steffy (sorry if I spell wrongly) who has helped so much in given us suggestions, and provided hot water for us.

The wifi is good in our room.

The roof top sun desk with good view is very clean and nice. But only upper part of Matterhorn can be see from here. The best place to see Matterhorn in Zermatt village is from the Church which is just few steps away from this hotel.

The Zermatt Matterhorn Miseum is also worth a visit, it's also 1 or 2 minutes away from this hotel.

We have visited both Matterhorn Glacier Paradise and Gornegrate Bahn, both offer good view, which we think Gornegrate Bahn is the best and enjoyable, as you do not need to squeeze like sardin in a can while travel with train, further more with the window open you can take good photos and breath in fresh air, we enjoyed sitting in the outdoor restaurant to enjoy the view after strolling around at Gornegratt. We experienced the can padded feeling while we came back down to Zermatt by cable car from Matterhorn Galcier Paradise, we were squeezed until we could not even move our hand not to say body. If your time is limited, just drop the more expensive Glacier Paradise and go for the more enjoyable Gornegratt Bahn. But if consider Jungfraujoch with this Glacier Paradise, which will offer almost the same experience, I would suggest to drop Jungfraujoch which is too Commercialize, not value to money.

Room Tip: Don't choose a room facing the street.

This is a delightful hotel set in a street just opposite the church and the Matterhorn Museum, its a slight hill up to the front door of the hotel of no more than 20 meters. The building is a wedge shaped building with the school on one side, homes, college and a busy mountain stream on the other. We received a warm welcome on arrival with lots of useful information – but not too much – as getting there involved a long journey prior to our arrival. Our room was on the fourth floor getting their by a tiny lift to a 'petite' room, which had a lovely view of the Matterhorn from one of our two windows. Breakfast was served from 7-10am, later on Sunday. Breakfast was the usual continental breakfast offerings and more than substantial. Other than breakfast they do not provide any meals during the our stay (June 2013) although coffee to purchase is available. The room was small and had a excellent bathroom, good shower and well fitted, along with a large roof terrace which is an excellent outside space making up for the lack of a lounge. We enjoyed our stay and found the staff friendly a courteous. Good base if staying in Zermatt.

The room was indeed very small, but that was expected, and the space was very bright and airy. I was somewhat disappointed in the absence of any chair with a back -- there was just one small stool. We happened to be there in good weather and took advantage of the really wonderful roof sitting area, which includes a view of the upper part of the Matterhorn. Very nice seating there.

The two staff members we met were friendly and helpful, especially in recommending restaurants. The hotel breakfast was very adequate, with a decent selection of grains, yoghurt, breads, cheeses and meats. The only hot item was soft-boiled eggs.

The internet signal in our room was weak, but there was strong service on the ground floor, and the staff did say that they were having the power of the system increased.

All in all, a happy experience, but it would have been less so in bad weather.

We stayed for 9 wonderfull days at this botique Hotel.Talk about great value for money.....this is the place to stay in Zermatt for those on a budget who like comfort and service. It is an easy 10 minute walk from the station. A great location close to the main areas of Zermatt.
The rooms were very clean and nicely furnished. They were of a moderate size. The bathroom was modern and well thought out. The cleaning staff did a wonderfull job and were very kind and considerant.
The breakfast was included in the room price and was very well presented and tasty.
The hotel was well run and the reception staff were friendly and very...very helpfull.
There is an elevator.....so tired travellors to use.
The roof top patio views are stunning from this hotel. There are table and chairs for hotel guests to enjoy the sun and the wonderfull views.
There was even a Libary shelf on the top floor for guests to swap books.
We were sad on the day we had to leave Le Petit hotel .....but we have promised ourself another visit
in the future using the money we saved by staying at this Quaint hotel.

We spent two nights at this lovely hotel in zermatt. Easy to find and we had no trouble walking with our luggage to and from the train station. Rooms were spotlessly clean and breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Both of the staff we met at reception were friendly and helpful. The night before we were leaving the lady on reception alerted us to the fact that the weather would be clear in the morning and we may get to view the Matterhorn. We were very grateful for this advice, hence we rose early and walked to the viewing spot she had suggested and were able to have a clear view of the Matterhorn. The only negative was that the rooms were very small, but I would definately stay again.

This is a nice clean modern hotel in a great location not too far from the centre of Zermatt. It is an unusual triangular shaped building not at all like the many Swiss Chalet styled hotels dotted around this fantastic town. However it is well run , very clean and modern and is very comfortable. There is even a view of the famous Matterhorn from the roof top terrace and it is very economical compared to the many other expensive hotels in Zermatt. The breakfasts are very good too in a beautiful small bar/restaurant, they are of course the usual continental type breakfasts.

Heidi
My wife and I were BLESSED to have stayed a couple days at your
hotel and we want to thank you and the other staff for making it so
pleasant. It was already beautiful, but you all were so kind, friendly, and
hospitable. You both have very good English as well.

You probably don't remember, but we had to check out early, to catch our
train/plane, and not only did you arrange for a taxi to be waiting, but you
had packed lunches for us, and for that, we are most grateful. No one HAS to
do anything for anyone else in this life, and we really appreciated and
enjoyed our time there. If I would be pinned down to finding something
negative about our stay, it would be that WE didn't have any more time to
spend in Zermat, and in your charming hotel. Once again, thank you and may
God bless you all abundantly for your kindnesses to us and your other
guests.

Sincerely

Rob & Rachel
