“Great place to stay in Zermatt”
Reviewed November 24, 2012

There was nothing not to like. The location was in easy walking to both ski lift and shops/restaurants . The layout of the unit was very family friendly. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare own meals, every gadget was thought of (very impressed). The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom had a great bath as well as several shower options, all great for after a tiring day on the slopes.Would highly recommend to friends and family.

Room Tip: Room 41 had a great view of the Alps and had 3 balconies

This was the BEST place we stayed during our 15-day trip to Switzerland. It felt like a slice of home while we were away from home. Our views were fantastic - balconies on 2 different sides. It was wonderful to be able to have a cup of coffee/tea out on the balconies in the mornings, and to make oatmeal for breakfast was a welcome treat (the traditional Swiss breakfasts take some getting used to).

The apartment/hotel is a bit of a walk from the train station and it was a little hard to find (more prominent signs would help), but once you find it, it seems simple. It makes a great home base -- it's convenient to both shopping and eating. Be warned, though, if you're planning on stocking the kitchen with food, the local grocery stores close by 7 p.m. and are not open on Sundays.

Be aware that if you don't stay a minimum of 3 nights, you will be charged an extra CHF 60 (total) on top of the daily-room-rate.

Great hotel! The view is worth the stay alone!! I stayed here last winter and have been meaning to write a review. The hotel is a walk from town, but it is worth it when you have such a fantastic view. We stayed in a room that would accommodate three people (the third being in a loft). Kitchen and table were great. Lots of windows. From the balcony we were able to see the town and the Matterhorn. The breakfast was basic but very good.

For the last 2 years i have going training some of my World cup skiers in Zermatt We always stayed at the Casa Vanessa Appart Hotel
It is a great place to stay in Zermatt
The location is perfect
It is very close to the main tram that brings you to the top of the magnificient Matterhorn
Although it is located only 5 mins walk away from the town center , you don't feel the crowd
The rooms are great ,especially the bathrooms and the modern showers
The owners, the Julen family , really make you feel at home

We stayed here last year and was pleasently surprised with this hotel. We booked it because it was cheaper than most as we where on a cheap long weekend break but the highlights of this place are as follows:

Central to town centre

Very close to ski lift

Clean, warm and large room

Good Value for Money

PS any trip to Zermatt although expensive is well worth while

Room Tip: The higher up you are the better view you have

We spent there 3 days with the family while discovering a bit of Swiss Alps. I have to say it was rather hidden when we arrived but at the end location is quite central in the widespread Zermatt.
The apartment was extremely clean and comfortable, big enough and fully equipped. Reception and service is not what you would expect in a hotel, they are available only from 8 to 12 but really did not bother us.

CASA Vanessa is a great accomodation, clean, modern, good location! The only downside was that he service wasn't very pleasant. The lady that's at the reception from 8am till 12pm seems to be stressed out and I had the unpleasant experience of being told off in a rather unconventional manner. Otherwise, nice place for a couple of days in Zermatt.
