We had looked at this restaurant via Trip Advisor and were tossing up between it and another restaurant close by. We decided to go at lunchtime to enquire about a reservation for that night. We noted the place was full of local workers and others enjoying lunch. We decided that was a good sign and made a booking for dinner.
From the time we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The mostly young and enthusiastic staff were happy to speak English, explain the menu and answer our questions. This lead to everything going smoothly on the night.
The place was full, and notably for a higher rated Trip Advisor venue, English accents were noticeably absent. Again, almost everyone seemed to be a local. We always treat that as a pretty good indicator of likely quality.
The food itself was top notch. Again the lamb dishes were true standouts . Apparently this family run business sources the lamb from it's own 300 strong flock. It's clear they know how to raise, process and cook their own product. All praise to them in that regard, and for a venue we'll remember.
