Forget the fact that you need to leave your car in a parking city a few miles away (don't forget your laptop in the car as I did !) and that you get ripped off by the shuttle taxis that get you in Zermatt where the Cervo shuttle van brings you to the hotel. Passed these small issues, you arrive home ! The hotel is almost perfect. Rooms are tastefully decorated in a modern style, amenities are of great quality, the view of the mountains is breathtaking, the jaccuzi and the hammam are beautiful, the food is tasteful (only one regret, the half size ravioli is just appallingly small) and the free breakfast perfect. Free WiFi throughout and more importantly staff which is helpful but is not overbearing. A strong buy as the stock brokers would say ! :-)

We had an amazing ( but way to short) vacation in Zermat at the CERVO. The hotel style is very unique and cool. The web site does not do it justice at all. The rooms, service, location, and view are all great.

Room Tip: All rooms have great view

Fantastic facility with sensational views of Matterhorn, great staff, fantastic food breakfast or dinner. A lift connects you to the lower level and main town centre but it's location makes it a must stay. All staff are very knowledgable about local attractions, rod, wine etc. Great walking tracks near by.

I stayed at the Cervo with my husband over a weekend in July. The hotel overlooks Zermatt and can be reached by an elevator at the bottom of the Sunnegga lift, and it takes less than 15 minutes to walk to the train station/shopping area.

We stayed at the chalet V, just below the main building. The Classic room was spacious enough for 2 people and very clean, with a very sleek and clever design. Unfortunately our balcony was facing a big advertisement board that said 'Zu vermieten/verkaufen' (for rent/sale)... Apparently the land just below our chalet was for rent/sale and its owner placed the board at the top of the land, right in front of the chalet V. It kind of ruined the beautiful view we had on the Matterhorn on the left side of the balcony. The spa area was lovely, but again we had the view on that awful board from the jacuzzi. Can't the hotel ask for that board to be removed, or placed elsewhere?!

The breakfast buffet was not huge compared to other hotels, but to me it was more than enough and very tasty (great bread choice and best soft boiled eggs ever!). The terrace is a great place to relax after a long hiking day, with a fantastic view on the Matterhorn. If you don't drink alcohol, try the PMZ (Perrier, Mint, Zitrone). So refreshing! We had diner at the restaurant once, the food was excellent and the service outstanding.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. On the last day, after checkout, they kept our luggage for the day and even arranged a taxi to take us to the train station free of charge, because their shuttle service was already finished (it was 10 pm). At breakfast, don't forget to ask Ali to help you plan your day, he's a very knowledgeable source of informations on the area. He speaks several languages (even Japanese) and he's very sweet.

I would most certainly return to the Cervo next time I am in Zermatt, but I will make sure I don't stay in chalet V, in case the advertisement board was still there...

We were met by the hotel at the train station, and made our way to the hotel through the charming village. Upon arrival we were very surprised at how modern and beautiful the hotel was, and it made for an extremely comfortable stay that could have lasted longer than the 2 nights we were there. The views were phenomenal-picture postcard perfect! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had difficulty figuring out how to transfer to our next stop, and they worked on this for us why we enjoyed our day. They gave us great tips for how to enjoy our stay on the mountain, restaurants, etc and we totally relied on their advice and had an excellent time. The hotel room we had was very spacious, an extra sitting area, and a private bathroom(unlike some of the rooms described in previous reviews). We loved the heated floors! A special treat was the tunnel from a lower section in the village and then up the elevator to the hotel--very cool!! I will recommend this hotel highly to everyone!

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a room that has a private bathroom--not an open, slatted door, if that is impo...

I stayed for 1 night in Cervo based on reviews on tripadvisor. Even so, I was pleasantly surprised at the level of service shown to me. The staff were friendly, polite and very accommodating. Email responses prior to my stay were also very quick and prompt.

I stayed in a 'corner room' which provided a clear, unobstructed view of the Matterhorn from the balcony. It was simply amazing! The room was clean and spacious.

Would love to make a return trip!

In the 14 years I have been travelling this the hotel that I've been impressed by the most.
From the moment you arrive you and see the wooden stine exterior you know your going to stay somewhere special.

We were warmly welcomed at the station and taken to the hotel free of charge.
Along with a complimentary glass of wine on arrival.

Beautifully furnished bedroom and bathroom with two balconies. Theres even an espresso machine tucked away.
The rooms a regularly cleaned and the little boxes of biscuits always topped up.
A couple of floors down was a spa centre with a sauna, steam, aromatherapy rooms.
Both times we used them they were empty and so relaxing.

We ate at the restaurant twice in the morning and evening and at all times the service and food were in keeping with the high standards of the rest of the hotel. Really tasty dishes and very attentitive friendly staff.

Already looking forward to returning!
