Hotel is very classy and opulent architecture with lots of history. location is perfect 10 min walk on the lake to old town Lugano, 5 min to funicular to San Salvatore hill which is a must visit attraction in Lugano and across the street from boat pier Paradiso. Staff is very helpful and friendly we got upgraded to lovely room with balcony with spectacular views of the lake. Breakfast at BLU restaurant is excellent big selection and Proseco to start your day on the terrace and Fabrizio greeting us every day with smile and few jokes and suggestions for the day. We dined at the main restaurant where we were able to choose delicious lebanese selection, since in the month of August the hotel caters mostly to clients from middle east. The only disappointment was there is no pool or area to lay down on beautiful sunny day. Yes the hotel has arrangement with close by hotel Eden Roc but they have only indoor pool so we didnt bother.
