I have been to the mountains many times in the winter ,but had no idea how beautiful the Kempinski grand hotel could be in summer
The concierge arranged some unforgettable trips for us into the mountain restaurants ,the spa and pool area were lovely to come back to after a lovely day. In the mountains ,the wild flowers were
Every where .
Our breakfast was excellent ,the staff very helpful, nothing was too much trouble ,When we retired
After a lovely dinner to our lovely room, with the most comfortable bed with crisp white sheets,
Our day was complete Now I can't wait to go back in the winter time to see this wonderful hotel in the snow

Probably the best quality staff I've ever come across - & I've been to quite a few 5 star hotels! Very friendly people who all go out of their way to help you. Christoph in Reservations, Max in the cigar room, & everyone else from front desk & concierge to spa & restaurant. Well done guys!

Impressive hotel with spacious rooms and a friendly staff. Our room had a nice view of the mountains. You are within walking distance of nearly all of St. Moritz. Without a doubt, the best breakfast buffet spread in all of Switzerland. Expensive but good food in restaurant for dinner. The fitness center is excellent.

We just finished a two night stay in Kempinski on July 14, 2013. We had made our reservations for a a superior room a month before our stay and payed for it before we checked in. Upon check in we were told we were upgraded to a on the fourth floor. However, the suite had a slanted roof and windows well above your head. The room was claustrophobic. We immediately demanded our initially requested room category. Upon a fifteen minute wait we were taken to another one bedroom suite that faced south and therefore, hot, again on the fourth floor but it was spacious.

Although the staff at Kempinski is very attentive and helpful we were disappointed with our initial assignment of a suite in the attic, especially when we later found out that they were not fully booked and given the fact that we had already payed for our room a month ago. The suite we ended up staying in was spacious but that was all. The bathroom was tight with a shower cabinet hard to get in and out and once you were in hard to operate due to a terribly poor design. There were so many doors in this suite that we were simply annoyed trying not to bump into a door. The sofa in the living room was really a love seat. The recessed lights in the living area could not be turned off separately (we couldn't just turn the lamp shade shade on) and made the room even hotter than it already was becuase of the room facing south. There is no view in this hotel, so even if you have a little balcony it is useless.

The best thing about this overpriced hotel are the restaurants. We had our breakfasts and dinners in the hotel and were quite pleased with the quality of the food. The piano bar serves nice drinks and snacks and quite enjoyable.

The hotel had a nice shuttle service back and forth from the train station and our driver Michael was extremely helpful making us suggestions and pointing out important spots in town. We greatly appreciated his help.

Thank you very much for taking the time and writing such a detailed and constructive feedback.
Your comment shows us, where we are on the right track, but also where we can make improvements. This means a lot for me and my team.
With regards to the room reservation and your preferences I have already spoken with the department head and shared your critic. We will do our best to avoid this from occurring in the future.

Amazing staff and very attentive service. We were greeted by the porter at the station and took us to the checked in counter where we were given an upgraded room. The hotel receptionist offered us champagne and showed us our room and explained everything else to us. The gym or fitness centre is fully equipped with all sorts of equipment and there is a separate room for stretching which is really nice. The pool has a nice view and we took the last 30 mins before it closed (the pool closed at 9pm) to have a quick swim then we went to the gym. Gym is open 24 hours. By the time, we completed out activities, it was about 10.30pm (hotel restaurant closes at 11pm). We went there to ask the concierge if we could find any vegetarian food and he kindly arranged us to have meals in the hotel restaurant. The dinner was beautiful. Again, the restaurant staff was very attentive (They can even prepare gluten free meal if you have food allergies). Breakfast was amazingly huge with freshly squeeze juice to be ordered (inclusive in the breakfast). We were also given late check-out till 1pm. They offered to take us to the station free of charge. The concierge was very attentive even offered ask his help to purchase train tickets. The deluxe room is huge, bed is comfortable and a separate toilet with bathroom plus free wi-fi. We will definitely stay there again when we return to St Moritz. The service is really excellent and staff in the hotel is so attentive. We were made very special during our stay from checking in to checking out. We will recommend people who are visiting St Moritz to stay there.
