Picked up from the railway station by free shuttle. We had a quite good room with a partial lake view. Very quaint hotel with what we considered a German influence. Check in and out was handled efficiently with friendly staff. Breakfast was great with a couple of hot serves and many other choices including fresh fruit. One drawback was we were not told until after a visit to Piz Nair at a cost of about $100, that a free ticket promotion was available for that and other attractions in the area. However, we were tired on arrival and may have missed being told this.
Also wifi is not free, but in our case, we could receive free Internet from a hotspot provided by the hotel over the road, so I suggest this hotel start providing a free wifi service.
Has several different restaurants, including a Chinese version. We ate at the latter and the food was good and service adequate
Free shuttle was again provided to the train station. Could not really fault anything.

Room Tip: Check on any promotions that may be available as the city seems to be trying to attract tourists in...

We arrivied by train at St. Moritz station and did not know which was the best way to reach the hotel. We incidentally found an ingeneous device which included a map of St. Moritz and a button for each nearby hotel: pushing the Steffani button put us in contact with reception and they arranged for a free pick-up service in 5 minutes. Very impressive!! Front desk staff was competent and kind for the all stay. The room was very nice, clean, with a pleasant view and comfortable bed and bathroom. The high light was the modern and tastefully designed SPA, which offers a great warm pool (water at the exactly right temperature), sauna facilities, warm towels, free refreshements (fruit, ice water, orange juice), body products for a final clean-up before leaving. All of this was in the room rate and was available from early morning until late night and was reserved to hotel guests. Breakfast was excellent with a wide food selection and fresh and quality products. Location is perfect too, right in the center of St. Moritz. Absoltely recommended.

Picked up from train on time and brought to the hotel. Check in was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious with a nice balcony overlooking the lake.
Breakfast had large choice of food and staff were attentive.
checkout was eff9icient and were were taken to the station to join the glacier express. A trip worth taking.

The hotel is well located with a good ambience as you walk through the reception. But the rooms are extremely congested with very less place to move. Overall it is stuffy, although the bathroom was well equipped. Make sure you check the room as we were like put in some corner room of their hotel. No wifi facility available. Just a computer downstairs which is occupied all the time.

Room Tip: Choose one with a sitout or balcony

Pouring w rain, tourist office closed and we are stranded w motorbike! Took a shot and the hotel was wonderful. Spotless spa, w sauna, indoor pool which they kept open for us. The room was all marble, had a famtastic balcony and fantastic views. The Chinese restaurant was the best Chinese food we have had in years. The staff were wonderful. Even garaged the bike, so it stayed dry.

We arrived in St Moritz in torrential rain, from the Glacier Express. What we failed to realise is that between the end of the ski ing season (end of April) and the beginnning of June, St Moritz is virtually shut!! Many hotels are closed for refurbishment most of the big name shops are also "on holiday" and there were road works right outside the hotel, which is in an elevated position in the middle of the town BUT...what a special hotel this is! Our room, which had a balcony facing the St Moritzsee and the mountains, was very spacious with a small sitting area and a very large balcony. The bed was huge and comfortable and although there was no hospitality tray, you only had to ring down to reception for a tray of free tea or coffee. The bathroom was the jewel in the crown...huge with marble floors and sink unitgs, a big bath and power shower over, and a seperate toilet. Really lovely, good complimentary toiletries. We had a room on the 4th floor and if you took the lift you missed something really special, because on every floor are wonderful antiques, and quirky pieces such as chairs made from antlers. Breakfast was excellent, a very varied buffet, however our one criticism was that we hadnt booked for dinner in the restaurant and we both felt that the maitred' looked down his nose at us and treated us differently from the locals who were obviously regulars. The food was good but very overpriced and we ate elsewhere the next night. The reception staff were very friendly and helpfull and we were transported back to the station in the hotel vehicle at no cost. Taxis are exhorbitant here. I had thought St Moritz would be pretentious (it was!) but this hotel is a gem

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony room ofn the 4th floor overlooking the lake
