Excellent Hotel, facilities & staff, from the moment you arrive the friendliness & efficiency of the staff is 1st class, you then notice how lovely & how much attention to detail has gone into the hotel itself from the layout to the interior design, furnishings & facilities of the hotel all top class, with out being stuffy or pretentious.
Our only criticism of is the that you are expected to go naked in the sauna, steam room & shower area which is fine is want to do this, we actually dont care who is around us naked but personally we don't feel comfortable being totally naked & the idea of wearing a towel which was suggested is a tad stupid as surely a bathing item of clothing is more practical!!

Room Tip: Ask for a mountain view as well worth the extra.....

When we walked in my first question was "is this going to be good?" well it was, we enjoyed five nights here and while at times is hard to leave with the small size of the rooms in Europe in general, this hotel was very good. The service was impeccable, loved how the set up the patio in the morning of the breakfast restaurant, the weather was perfect and we enjoyed coffee outdoors everyday. Rooms were well furnished and kind of contemporary decor. Employees were very attentive and friendly. I would recommend this hotel very much, I will like to try it in summer this place has to be awesome in summer time. If you are going to Ski they have shuttles that will run your party to the lifts and pick you up once you are done, you also have a great ski supply store, right across the street from the hotel, where you can rent all your gear.

A unique combination of tasteful stylish design, with relaxed, informal but highly professional service. One of our favourite hotels ever. Couldn't have asked for more. The room was just as it is on the pictures, the food was excellent (and the staff really made our daughter's birthday a special occasion), the facilities were extremely high quality, from the swimming pool and spa, to the kids games room, and the kids club, and all the public areas. We really didn't want to leave! Will be back again soon.

Now on our 2nd visit here since refurbishment took place recently.
5 star hotel worthy of its stars.
Location is outside St Moritz hussle, in a pretty little village
Style of decoration is modern combined with mountain, giving a very warm, homely and yet not a stuffy feeling. It is a great combination which will suit many people to a great degree.
The hotel is divided between several buildings & just the walk from one to the other (underground) is a pleasant experience.

The bedrooms are very comfortable and are spacious. It is a matter of taste to have a bath tub in the bedroom, but..... for some it is a welcome chance to do something you dont get to do every day. Beautiful natural wood flooring and great mountain views from many rooms.
There are a couple of small things which can be improved in the rooms, but I dont want to nitpick when so much is right.
Free WIfi which is a must for many travellers these days.

Breakfast is just a treat. Big buffet selection of fruits, yoghurt, breads, warm dishes. If you cant find something you want, you just order it and the friendly staff are bery happy to assist.

There are several restaurants in the hotel and once a year in early February, one of the restaurants in the hotel is host to a top Chef courtesy of the Gourmet Festival event in St Moritz. This is a good opportunity to experience great food in various restaurants in St Moritz.

Service is very friendly and helpful throughout the hotel and one is made to feel welcome.

The fitness area has a limited selection of equipment, but unless you're a fanatic, it has all one needs for a short stay. The cycling and jogging machines allow one to plug in either Ipod or Iphone and listen to your own music, or watch your own films, or watch TV which certainly helps while the time.
Water bottles are on hand as are members of staff if one needs assistance.

The indoor pool is limited in size, but again, for a short stay, just fine. What is new at the pool are large relaxation beds.

Sauna, steam bath area is nicely done. It is all there, but could be a little larger. I am not a wellness freak even though i enjoy a sauna and steam room experience when this is available.

The bar area has been modernised, perhaps a little strangely decorated, although it does leave one wondering at the furnishings, so certainly thought provoking. Live music is available daily in the evening (at least when we have been, in high season) and a roaring fire is a great focal point.

Ski holidays are also made easy, as a free shuttle service takes you straight to the ski lift and of course collects you later.

Overall the hotel Giardino Mountain in Champfer succeeds in making one feel as if one is on holiday as soon as one steps through the front door into reception on arrival, which for me is the most important achievement and reflects the entire Giardino experience.

In terms of price, in my view this is a Hotel which falls into the category of being expensive but definitely worth the money, without any doubt.

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are spacious. Everything is newly renovated in a great modern style with traditional accents. The hotel bar is great, with nightly entertainment and a great fireplace. The service is a bit slow, but I expect it will improve with time. The breakfast is great with a great variety. For dinner, we ate in the main restaurant, and the food was great (gourmet-style, small portions). They have an extensive wine list, which we were pleasantly surprised with a Swiss Pinot Noir. Staff, again, needs a little work, but is satisfactory. The spa/pool/sauna area is nice, but oddly is only open 2pm-8pm. The jacuzzi is little strange too for American standards... It is only approx 95F and has a strange metal couch-like seat. Rooms are beautiful - we had the double standard, which was more than enough room with bedroom and living area. For skiing, they will take you by van to the mountain for pick up and drop off. Suvretta House is closest resort, and is approx 5 min drive. You can rent equipment there (ski or snowboard), or across the street from Giardino Mountain, (no snowboards, only skis). The hotel can also arrange purchase of lift tickets. Lastly, hotel is in a great location, but is not walking distance to the town of St Moritz, but only 5-10 min drive.

The hotel has been renovated completely and only reopened mid December 2011 and everything has been done very tastefully. The staff are mostly very good the only slight downfall is the service in the bar where they need to get the service faster. We had a degustation dinner one night which was great, they helped us select the menu before the night which was helpful as there were 9 of us. We also ate in the other restaurant which had more traditional Swiss food. Breakfast had plenty of choices and the staff all had great smiles early in the morning. I also had a hair cut at the hotel which is often hit and miss but was done perfectly. We enjoyed our 10 nights and would recommend this hotel for a place to ski or enjoy the region.
