There is nothing at fault in this hotel. It is hard to see where it can be improved. It is excellent in every area. The staff are fantastic, helpful and friendly. The facilities are great. The view is superb.

The hotel did everything to make my stay perfect. I was welcomed as a valued returning guest, was allocated a beautifully-appointed room with exactly the view I'd asked for, fabulous breakfast with attentive staff, friendly front office team which took an interest and recommended the best views and walks, and a wonderful pool.
one small challenge - can the hotel find an alternative to the quantities of single-use plastic bottles of water provided in the rooms and the pool? Perhaps more glass bottles as per those in the room fridge?

Room tip: It's worth contacting the hotel to ask for the outlook you want, e.g. morning or evening sun, town or lake.

Whatever, you have been told about Badrutt's Palace is true. From the moment you arrive at the train station the bellman greet you, the Rolls Royce await you, the 5 minute drive to the door of the hotel builds with anticipation. Enter the hotel and feel the history, see the cat walk and imagine the show, look out the window and the snow caps mountains it will take you breath away. Badrutt;s Palace where history Swiss winter wonderland began and continues to tell the story.

I'm not a resort person. So, had some reservations about St. Moritz and The Palace. None warranted.

The hotel is impeccably maintained. Quite a feat for 100+ years of service. It has a unique look, kind of mountain baronial that feels completely of a piece.

I found the service generally excellent. Yes, the breakfast team was a little hit and miss. But only in minor ways. And while buffets may be wasteful - this one can't be beat.

Giuseppe and Augusto the head concierges couldn't have been more helpful. Great suggestions for hiking and low-key dining. And nailing down when off-the-beaten track attractions were open.

The pool and outdoor whirlpool are large - 25 m pool - spotless and beautiful.

Perfect spot for summer relaxation. Perhaps less so in-season.

Room tip: Go for a deluxe to ensure that you have the lake view - and the lake breeze.

The Palace deserves every one of its five stars. The service, accommodations, and amenities are all top notch. You should come prepared to pay top dollar for food and drinks, but they don’t nickel and dime you on the small stuff (e.g waters and minibar). They were also very accommodating on our late check out request. My wife and I loved it!
