During our last visit in St Moritz, we went close-by to the Pits. Its always a good bet. This time it was game time and the variation was good. The ambience is 'alpine chic' but cody and friendly. The service is good but not charming.

First thing is that there is a direct bus from the train station to the front of the hotel and less than 5 minutes walk to the Lake St. Moritz. The hotel also gives a card that allows travel in the area free of cost (including all mountain s and museums). There is a refundable deposit of Euro 20 for this card.

The hotel itself is very ordinary. Our room was of a very odd shape, not facing lake and there was no air-conditioning. The staff is not friendly. In fact we had one dinner in the restaurant of the hotel and found the person who took order kind of impolite. The way from reception to the elevator is quite spooky. Overall, nothing is wrong with this hotel but nothing is right too.

Room tip: Ask for a lake facing room at a marginal extra cost.

As it was a quick trip from Brig, from where we took a glacier express till St Moritz. The scenery was stunning from biggening till end bètween Alps. reached St Moritz after 7 hours a long journey. After reaching we took bus 3 for our hotel as the walk was hilly. The hotel was good.

We stayed for three nights in this hotel. The room was spacious but with no view. Were told there are very few lake facing rooms. The street facing rooms are all single with only one double. So if you are booking in advance ask for a standard double with street facing. Also the hotel is not walking distance as will be informed by the staff, specially if you have luggage to carry. Bus no 4 from the station drops you in front of the hotel. Breakfast is good and they also have a restaurant serving limited but good menu. The reception staff are very helpful and courteous. Though they do not have tea coffee service in the rooms, you can ask for a kettle. A very enjoyable stay.

Had a few hours in St Moritz and chanced upon the restaurant in a rain storm. The furnishings and over all lay out were excellent and very modern.

Both had pizzas from an extensive list. They came very quickly and were fabulous. The eating area was very spacious and the toilets spotless.

Would recommend the food, but didn't stay in the hotel itself.
