My wife and I spent 2 weeks in early June and were amazed at the high quality of our studio apartment which was booked with Inghams Travel

The studio was beautifully clean with very comfortable beds and high quality linen and pillows

The kitchen and shower room were adequately equipped and nicely furnished

The reception and maintenance staff were extremely helpful and responsive to all our needs and queries and free use of the Reception internet was available. Wifi in the apartment was possible but expensive

Superb large flat screen TV with HD and all main BBC and ITV channels

A peaceful location with south facing balcony and lovely mountain views

Great value for money with free local travel passes for trains, buses and mountain lifts . As this was off season, not all the lifts were open

Local people were very friendly and helpful and most spoke English

Thoroughly recommended

My family, including 2 kids under age 4, recently spent a week at Solaria Feriensiedlung. Nearly everything I can say is positive, including the staff's knowledge and helpfulness. They shuttled us to and from the train station on departure, and have daily shuttles to the mountains. Local bus #13 also stops right at the front desk. At no additional charge you can use the hotel's fondue sets, sledges and bicycles. We found the bicycle especially useful for short trips to the nearest grocery store (which is only a 10 minute walk but I prefer to cycle). The rooms are clean, spacious and very practically designed. Even the pillows were great, which can sometimes be hit and miss at any hotel. I rank this place 5/5 and will return again next March.

Serviced apartment. We stayed one night and enjoyed the facilities, great hot water, well equipped kitchen, thoughtful welcoming chocolates, friendly staff who had no issue helping when we had to check out even though they had not started work. There are great cafes and bars ten minutes walk. Also good supermarkets (most close at 6pm)

Ive been coming to Solaria for years, this is a family run apartment 'village' and their prices are very reasonable. Great for group bookings and for families travelling with children as the kids beginner slopes are just a short walk across a lovely snowy field. Super clean with good beds and everything you need in the kitchens. They have small houses and apartments to rent and can always accommodate tricky bookings. I find calling them on the phone easier than using the website, as sometimes they 'block' rooms and are not always 'fully booked'. Bus to Parsenn and Jakobshorn stops right outside the complex, its perfect.

I stayed in a 2p apartment with views to the Jakobshorn. The place had a good distribution, sufficient space for all I needed, lots of light and was very, very clean. Some people may find it a bit empty furniture-wise, but I welcomed it's simplicity. It has to be taken into account that this place is not in down town Davos, if you want to go to bars or shopping this location may not be ideal, however it's very close to the crosscountry ski tracks (including the night one) and 5 min by bus from the Funicular. Moreover, it's halfway to the Dischma valley with excellent possibilities for cross country ski and snow-shoeing in winter as well as mountain biking in summer.

The worst of my stay? Wifi disconnected often and there was no microwaves, it needed to be picked up at the front desk, and was not 24h open. Not very serious issues though, however the TV only had a million channels in German, only in German! guys....seriously?

The best of my stay? The light in the apartment, the views in the morning, the clean toilet and the friendly staff.

Room Tip: When possible go for rooms looking south, and it is worth it to pay the little extra for a bathtub...

Dear A.F.
Thank you very much for your detailed review. We were particularly happy to receive your remarks about the cleanliness of the apartment and the friendliness of our holiday team.

Solaria is situated just outside Davos village as you enter Dischmatal. This area is one of the sunniest and quietest locations in Davos, and yet is only about 600 metres from the centre of Davos village.

We very much regret that there were technical problems with the WLAN during your stay. It took a few days to replace the faulty parts.

Please order your microwave in advance – we will deliver it to your apartment on your next arrival. At this time we also will show you the numerus english TV channels.

You can reach us on our 24-hour emergency telephone line outside our normal opening hours.

Kind regards,
Your SOLARIA - Holiday Team

After a second visit to Solaria (Ski trip in March 2012 and summer trip in July 2012) I can highly recommend this establishment. Both visits I stayed in the classic apartment for two persons. The apartments are very clean, modern and contain about everything you may need. The kitchen-area was very well equipped, which is not often the case at aparthotels. The staff at the reception are very helpful and keen to make your stay pleasant.

The reception closes at 18:00, which can be a drawback if you get back late from skiing or hiking. The hotel is located a 5min walk or short busride from Davos-Dorf and the Persennbahn. Babycots and high-chairs for babys available on request. Washing machines and dryers can be used at an extra charge, which is a great comfort for families with babies. Internet (Wifi with fast speed) and Parking are charged separatly.

All this combined with the excellent tourist infrastructure at Davos makes Solaria a place to recommend and return to.

Two friends & I rented an apartment at the Solaria for part of a nordic ski vacation in the Davos area in March 2012. The apartment had everything we needed & was comfortable, with an excellent ski storage room. We had some trouble getting WiFi to work in the office/lobby, so resorted to using the Solaria guest computer for email. But you can walk out your back door and be on the Davos nordic trails, so the location was excellent for our purposes. We found the Solaria to be within walking distance of Davos Dorf, and we used the free guest card provided to us by Solaria for bus and train travel thoughout the Davos-Klosters area. The hotel staff provided quick & easy transport to/from the trainstation which was very nice.
