A family hotel well run by owners Martyn and his wife. We visited as part of a large group and we heard few complaints. The rooms ( at least ours!) had been recently renovated and was clean and comfortable - the room configurations were a little odd when compared with modern hotel chains - and reflected the age of the buildings. Located in the old sector of Chur it is easily accessed from the train station which is about a ten minute walk away. The food was good bearing in mind the size of our group and breakfast was actually cooked in the dining room itself! Lovely smell of bacon! The staff were very friendly and obliging.

Bit of a walk from the station but luckily we had Martin the owner on hand to transport the luggage. The hotel seems to made up of a number of buildings joined by corridors and the only lift is very small, which caused problems when our large part were all trying to get the luggage down for departure. Family staff were all lovely and went out of their way to ensure that food tastes were catered for. Room was large and warm but the recently modernised bathroom had some strange disco lights which were out of keeping with the historical nature of the rest of the rest of the hotel. Good location in the old part of the town.

I spent two night there, the room was basic, but comfortable. The best part of the hotel was the breakfast, some great swiss cheese. I would recommend it. as it is in the old part of Chur and not far from the train station

We stayed here with a large group for two nights. The location is great, provided you don't mind the easy 10-minute walk from the station, as it is located in Chur's historic Altstadt, which is worth exploring and is traffic-free and quiet at night. Martyn, the owner, is exceptionally nice and his staff are efficient and obliging. Two three-course evening meals were included in the package and they were rather ordinary, but we didn't go hungry. Breakfasts, however, were outstanding: not only plentiful, typical continental cold colds, boiled eggs, fresh rolls and croissants, but the kitchen even produced a full cooked breakfast of bacon and eggs, the latter cooked before your eyes.
Eating out the third evening proved somewhat difficult, as many restaurants were closed on Mondays. To our shame as North Americans, we settled on MacDonalds, as (we learned later) did several others in the group. Not what you want to do in Switzerland, but traditional cuisine (e.g. rösti) was overpriced in the restaurants that were open.
Our bathroom was exceptionally well updated, worthy of a four star hotel or better.
If we are in Chur again, we would definitely make this our B&B.

Centrally located in the old town with limited motor traffic. Easily accessible by walking. Well furnished rooms. Great hotel to start the Bernina or Glacier Express train trip. Many restaurants and bars are within 5 to 15 minutes walking distance.
