“A good Mix”
Reviewed January 21, 2013

Arosa give a good mix of a middle size station. The level of the piste is not very difficult but enough for every taste. OK the have as well 2 old Chairlift but hey, that make the charm as well to not have only super modern lifts.
When you buy the pass for a few days, the ticket is pretty cheap (about 35 USD or 28 EURO per Day).
What I really like in Arosa is that our kids can go eat cheap and good in the sitthütte. Comparing to other resort, the prices on the piste are good.

“Too expensive for what is offers”
Reviewed January 19, 2013

I find Arosa is too expensive for what it offers. Après-Ski, for example, nearly doesn't exist. I'm not sure if I will go again. There are better places.

“Not just a Ski Resort”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

Arosa is more like a winter sports destination with a lot more to do than just ski.
There is a lot of sledge runs, indoor & outdoor ice-skating rinks, mountain walking, cross-country skiing, mountain train rides, horse drawn sledge rides and the list goes on.

“Perfect in summer and in winter”
Reviewed July 28, 2012

3 days' hiking, and swimming in the Untersee, confirmed for us that our favourite ski resort is splendid in the summer as well. Once the hiking season gets underway, the Bergbahnen (Weisshorn Luftseilbahn and Hörnli Express, the 2 cable cars at opposite ends of the resort) are open for business - having been briefly closed for maintenance between the seasons - and the Sommerwanderwege and Bergwanderwege (hiking footpaths) are clearly marked and readily enjoyed. The town was welcoming and friendly, as usual, if not quite as bustling as it is in the winter.

“Ghost town out of season”
Reviewed July 5, 2012

In the UK, early June heralds the onset of summer. Long days, blossom, twittering birds. Not so in the mountain resort of Arosa. Not helped by a dusting of snow the night before, it did look as if the last skier had only recently put away their gear. The cable car was closed, and so was just about everything else apart from the odd cafe. Pity, because the setting in a cauldron surrounded by tall peaks on all sides is impressive and one can imagine the place bustling with either skiers or ramblers according to the season. Not early June though.
