I have been to a number of Club Med Ski Resorts, and loved them all, but Club Med Wengen was a major disappointment.
Accomodation - My room stunk, similar to a Public Toilet. I reported it 3 times to Reception, nothing improved. On day 4 (paid for 7) I checked out, telling the English Speaking Staff I was leaving due to the smell. They said nothing and let me go. Didn't apolgise, didn't offer another room (and there were rooms empty), didn't care less. It was astounding.
Ski Instruction - At previous Club Med's I have been to the Ski Instructors were outstanding. Some of the best I have had in the world. I cannot say the same for Club Med Wengen. They were more interested in their own skiing and the free lunch they get back at Club Med.
Food - One plus in the whole experience. Thank You Chefs!
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- In the 1930s, wealthy clients who descended on Wengen to enjoy winter sports would take the little rack railway. Club Med(R) established a Village here in 1976 just outside the charming centre, in the heart of the largest massif in the Alps, giving you the opportunity to explore the surrounding mountains, such as Jungfrau while your children can be enjoying a fantastic time at Mini Club Med(R). After a day in the open air, enjoy settling into the cozy lounges of the former Art Deco hotel. ... more less
