Booked a corner room with a spectacular view of the mountains. wrap around balcony with views out of both sides of the room. Breakfast was good and plentiful and the Hotel was ok. The downsides were that it was located far from town, impossible to walk with luggage (though they will shuttle you to and from the train station), but walking to the cable car and shops and restaurants was a bit of a hassle and not possible for elderly/less capable people.
The service was efficient but cool...not sure if they liked us or disliked us
And no refrigerator in the room and no ice available meant the food I bought sat out and spoiled. They only provided a glass of ice as "they arent in a positon to give buckets of ice to residents"
Again, I would go back to Wengen in a second but probably not here

After 30 years of visiting Wengen in the Winter, we decided to try the Summer and we weren't disappointed. Hotel is as ever, consummate hospitality and amazing food. The Chef's soups are the best I've have tasted. How wonderful it was to dine out each evening on the veranda and to take part in the national Swiss Day celebrations. Lots to do and the views to die for! So sorry we pinched the Olympic Gold medal though...

Some may consider Switzerland expensive
And they may be correct in a number of areas.

Is the classic Alpine Swiss hotel including a full
Swiss buffet breakfast and 5 course gourmet continental
Dinner. When you do the math it is excellent value.
Our family has made a tradition out of coming to
the pedestrian only town of Wengen in the Bernese Oberland
to hike the famously civilized walking paths and trails
all over the Alps. Staying at the Bellevue which is family run and is quiet
with an amazing view of Lauterbrunnen valley
and Jungfrau and Monch peaks. Traditional Swiss rooms
Simple but well appointed. The 5 course family elegant
dinner is a great way to introduce your family to a bygone era
of manners and the lovely staff are delightful in their very unique Swiss way.
