“Again another perfect holiday at Sunstar Wengen...”

Just keeps on getting better...our fourth annual ski week in Wengen, and our only regret was that we did not stay two weeks! We stay in the same room year after year - beautiful view of the mountains. Our pillow choice from last year was remembered and waiting for us. The beds are so comfortable and the linens smell so fresh...the food was perfect (quality, portions, diversity and flexibility). Evening walk in the winter wonderland to the candlelight raclette dinner in the wood hut... always a delight. Guided ski tour...not with a stranger but with the hotel manager...and he lead us safely through snow and fog.

Counting the days until next year's week (or two) at Sunstar Wengen!

Room Tip: we always take the same room - one of the smallest - top floor, south view - why change a winning st...

Booked this hotel based on the inclusive train ticket from Sunstar - excellent! and the pool and was delighted to find there was more than that to make it a fantastic choice. The hotel is almost directly opposite the cable car so you can literally be on your way to the top of the mountain within two minutes of leaving the front door. The mini bar in your room is free (2x beers/ juice/ coke) and there is always fruit to eat in the foyer. The joy of the place is sealed with its staff of whom the managers, Katya and Oliver work outstandingly hard and generously to make sure their guests feel welcome and have a great time and all the staff make sure your needs are met in a family friendly but professional way. The restaurant staff are similarly friendly and cheerful , attentive and excellent. We went on the chalet in the forest trip which was so much fun and very pretty, totally recommend that as a must do . If I went back I would forgo my thrifty nature and opt for a valley view room which is slightly more expensive as I would have loved to be looking out at a big expansive valley rather. The pool was a little too cold for my liking and as a result I never used it, however everything about this hotel is fabulous otherwise and I would absolutely totally recommend it. Great value for money including half board, breakfast (so much food you don't need to buy anything else) and a lovely smiling pick up/ drop off from the train station: they organise your ski passes, luggage transfers if needed and had the Times newspaper to read in the morning.

Room Tip: see above. We chose the cheaper room with a balcony that overlooked the village main street. This wa...

I chose this hotel based on reviews on multiple sites for hotels in the Jungfrau region. I wasn't disappointed at all. The hotel is a two minute (if that) walk from the train station and since there are no private cars allowed it was a very easy trip even with luggage. Although if you arrive during the day/early evening they'll send a small cart for you and your luggage. The staff were helpful, kind and service was organized and efficient . They even took the time to welcome me and discuss options for me during my stay upon arrival. Beautiful hotel, spectacular views from my room and wonderful staff.

We stayed here already a year before and came back because of the excellence service.
This time we stayed in the Duplex-Room-Superior which is much quiter than the standard-Duplex-Room since it's not facing the street.

Service is great. I much enjoyed the dinner where the kids could first eat from the Kids-Buffet and later go play in the Kids-Club. This allowed us to have a peacefull dinner.

This hotel has a great team and we will surely be back.

We spent a week at Sunstar from New Year. Service from check in till departure was excellent. Rooms were always serviced to a high standard. The hotel goes to a lot of trouble with special occasions including New Years Eve which was fantasic. We were a family of 8 including adult children. The 'extra' bed added to a room is a full size bed which was wonderful seeing we were staying a week. Dinner was included every night and was always of a high quality - the only thing was that being a table of 8 we were always in the back room with less atmosphere. Wengen is a beautiful Swiss town with amazing skiing and Sunstar is perfectly located right in the centre of town and a few minutes walk to the cable car. We had rooms facing the town and I loved being on our verandah watching the passing people - especially on New Years Eve and News Year Day when the bell ringers went down the street. Noise was never a problem. Would recommend staying at Sunstar if you like to be close to everything. Only thing missing is a spa!

We have visited the Sunstar Hotel in Wengen for the last five years for our annual skiing holiday.
We have always been made welcome by all the staff. We find the location very convenient for the Cable Car and the railway.
The hotel has a full programme of activities during each week including curling lessons, and during the week the Hotel Manager takes guests on a ski guided tour of the beautiful mountain region.
The Hotel has a large swimming pool, sauna, and steam room. The West facing rooms have views over the Lauterbrunnen Valley.
The Hotel restaurant provided excellent food and service.
We would recommend this Hotel to anyone wishing to have a comfortable Ski holiday in one of the most beautiful areas in the World.

Room Tip: West facing rooms are best for the views. The East facing rooms look out over the village

Our fourth stay at this hotel and it was excellent as usual. The location is very good for those with young children and the facilities in the hotel are very good - superb big swimming pool, lovely sauna and steam room. Rooms are good - we opt for two interconnecting rooms which gives the four of us enough space. They are not 'luxury' but good for a family skiing holiday. Food is good, particularly breakfast. I am generally not a fan of set meals in hotels and do feel the Sunstar could do a bit more with the evening meal, however this is me being pernickety!
Overall a very good hotel which (as you would expect) is very efficiently run.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel are better for families as they suffer from slightly less noise from...
