Description: Our fine-dining gourmet restaurant overlooking the Jungfrau massif is a warmly lit room, fitted with plush banquettes and discrete seating arrangements. Most tables have wonderful views of the Jungfrau and surrounding mountains, with their ever changing scenery. Our large south-facing sun terrace offers stupendous views of the Jungfrau mountain and the valley below. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We also serve lunch (and in summer also dinner) on the terrace during the many fine weather days. The dinner menus change daily, and offer great gourmet delights. Our Executive Chef, Floris van der Spek, and his team are looking forward to preparing you a delightful dinner.

“Consistent Superior Service”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

The Caprice restaurant continues to surprise and delight. A trip to Wengen would not be complete without enjoying the dining experience offered by the restaurant of the Caprice Hotel.

I have been lucky enough to enjoy the restaurant on many occasions. Its consistency in providing high quality service and exemplary cuisine is admirable, demonstrating the management's dedication to provide a superior and memorable dining experience.

The restaurant magically combines a warm friendly ambiance with sophisticated dining which is enhanced by an enviable wine cellar. The charming bar with its eclectic collection of liquors and spirits and the adjoining cosy lounge, makes it difficult to bring an evening to a close.

“Absolutely fab”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

Had dinner at the Caprice in June - absolutely fab!!
Great service from Carlos, fabulous starter, fabulous main, fabulous desert and brilliant wines.
Honestly the best. We met the chef to congratulate and thank him. A really lovely evening. The best in the Jugfrau region......(oh - and a fantastic view as well!!)

“Enjoy the view and an aperitif, but skip dinner”
Reviewed September 5, 2012

Caprice's dining room inspires: it's warm, intimate, and has a great view of the mountains. It feels like a cozy living room. Unfortunately, the food doesn't match. We were served several tasteless vegetarian starters, followed by an overly salty chicken stuffed with ham. The dishes seemed like they were prepared in bulk, and I almost wonder whether the chef had the night off (though it was Saturday). The service was also confused: our bottle of wine was delivered to our table but not opened for several minutes. I'd look elsewhere for dinner -- it's just not worth the price -- but would drop in at Caprice's equally cozy bar for an aperitif to enjoy the view.

“Summer in the Alps”
Reviewed June 19, 2012

The view from the restaurant and terrace is worth the trip alone, but when the food and the service from this very fine restaurant are added it's a place you can't possibly miss out when in Wengen...in fact it's worth the effort to get there from Interlaken and beyond! Staff are very helpful, attentive and friendly, the food is rich, bountiful and brilliantly prepared...so when you add in 'that' view over the valley towards Murren and the mountains beyond...ask youself...why haven't you booked the flight and the table already!?

“*****Restaurant***** & Terrace..seriously - not to be missed”
Reviewed June 18, 2012

Hidden at the back of Hotel Caprice is a Terrace and a Restaurant that have stunning food & stunning views across the valley and into the Alps. The front of the hotel hides the true magnificence that the warm sun-drenched terrace and dining room experience. Restaurant-Caprice would qualify on its own even without all this. Simple cuisine, prepared to a very high standard, or the Gourmet menu that we experienced, the discrete, friendly and efficient sevice all add up to why this hotel and restaurant are now firmly on the map as one of our favorites throughout the world. It isn't necessary to stay at the hotel to book in the restaurant, but we did both! We are members of SLH which is where we found Hotel Caprice (Small Luxury Hotels of the World) this is our third stay and its better than ever. New management, the owner taking a real interest and input and making it really work.
The menu we chose would have stood up to the test of the top London or NY restaurants, the lobster soup with a whole lobster tail immersed was fabulous. The lamb to follow complimented everything before and after. The wine list reflected quality and value at the same time.
Biased, yes, just a little!! You will be too!
