This is a must do if you are in the Jungrau region of Switzerland. You take cable cars to the top and when you get there the views are stunning. You can walk outside and onto the rocky areas. There is also a fantastic 007 exhibit up there which is included in your ticket as the 007 movie On Her Majesties Secret Service was made up there 50 years ago! Check the weather before you go to make sure that you can see the magnificent panoramic view which spans from the Titlis, Jungfrau, Mönch, Eiger, over the Bernese Alps and the Jura mountains up to the Vosges Mountains and the Black Forest.

My wife and I visited in July 2016, and what an awesome trip and experience. We bought the round trip tickets all the way to the top of Schilthorn (Piz Gloria) and really didn't know its history as the site of the filming of the James Bond "Of her majesty secret service". It took a combination of a trains, and two cable cars to get us to the top, and it was a bit expensive, but worth it. We saw a few ibex in the mountains. We toured quickly the 007 museum and took photos from the platforms. What made this trip was that my wife and I decide to walk back down to Murren. The route was extremely technical, taking us through snow, some minor rock climbing, waterfalls, a few stream crossings, over pastures, and trails. That trip that took us nearly 5 hours was one of the best experiences of our multi week trip in Europe, if not of our lifetimes. Certainly not recommended for those who are not very physically fit or a bit adventurous. There were a few signs that helped us navigate to where we needed to go. I'd recommend doing this for anyone who wants to kick up this visit a notch.

Great place to see all three big mountains Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau. While coming back by cable car, visit Brig with lovely platforms to view same mountains with different angle.

This has to be one of the most special places to vist, with some of the best views of the alps. A lot of people head to Jungfrau, however here you get the view of the mountains rather then being on the mountain looking out.
We bought the round trip tickets from Interlaken, it's simple to purchase, just head to the train station and you can buy on the spot. You need to check the weather before you head out, worth checking the the live Web cams on the website. We went up first thing in the morning to make the most of it, we were up the mountain by 10am, and had amazing views, by the time the 1pm crowd came through the clouds had rolled in the views were gone. The 007 experience is a little gimmicky but it's free and worth having a look at. Food can be a little expensive at the top, so worth packing your own lunch/snacks the day beforehand.

Breathtaking, awesome views, very good excursion. The the "thrill walk" at Birg station is really well made, diverse with glass flooring, little suspension bridge etc. The James Bond museum is also very well made and interactive. The flight simulator is good fun.
It's a very good day out and enjoyable for any age.
