Our stay at the Eiger was fantastic! Right from the moment we stepped off the train and were met by the steward from the hotel, who took care of our bags while we walked across the road to the hotel, where we were met warmly by Suzanna. Our room had a great view of the mountains, the food was great, and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel is family owned and run and has the personal feel of a small hotel but all the amenities and conveniences of a larger one. We particularly enjoyed the cocktail party out on the terrace where the owners plied us with free glasses of champagne and we got to meet many of the other guests. The staff were all extremely friendly and answered warmly all our requests and gave infinite help in directions, suggestions, hikes, etc. We have vowed to return and stay longer next time! We will be back soon!

Room Tip: The rooms on the front of the hotel look down at the train station which can be busy, but the proxim...

This was our second stay at Hotel Eiger in Murren. We were just as happy the 2nd time around with the accommodations, dining and service. We opted for a Junior Suite this time as we stayed for 8 nights. The room offered the most excellent view with much more space and comfort than the standard rooms. We never grew tired of the breakfast as everything was so fresh and delicious. We visited many restaurants for dinner, but Hotel Eiger was our favorite. While the food was excellent, the service is what wins you over. (A special thanks to Hans who took care of us at dinner and most of our breakfasts.) Congrats to the whole Eiger family on making our visit comfortable, memorable and overall fantastic! We will be back!

We loved the Hotel Eiger. We booked within a week of our arrival and Suzanna was super helpful and quick to respond to all our questions. We were concerned about the weather, but Suzanna assured us that it was not snowing in Murren (as the Iphone weather app was showing). The room was comfortable and the view couldn't be beat. Breakfast was complete with everything you would expect. We had dinner once at the hotel and it was excellent. Our waitress was like a grandmother and encouraged us to eat our salad and finish up our dinner. it was very cute. The front desk was always helpful. There is no AC, but it is definitely not needed. There is a pool although we did not use it (only b/c we didn't have time). We can't wait to visit again!

My husband and I have recently returned from a two week stay in The Hotel Eiger in Murren. This was,I believe, our sixth visit, and as before, the warm welcome that we received from Annelis Adrian,Susanna, Sandra, Bruce and all the staff made us feel so valued and like a member of the family. The hotel has a superb chef who produced some delicious meals. The dinner menu was varied, interesting and catered well for vegetarians.I was amazed by the cleanliness, our room and the ensuite bathroom were pristine. We have travelled fairly extensively and I can honestly say that this is one of the best hotels that we have ever stayed in.We shall certainly return!

Room Tip: if you spend a lot of time in your room,go for a mountain view.We had a room at the back of the hot...

My wife and I recently returned from a trip to Murren, Switzerland. We arrived in Murren quite tired from a lengthy train trip from London. And even though the hotel is right across the street from the train station we were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by the hotel bellman. He offered to take our luggage and met us at the front desk by the time we walked across the street. The hotel is family-owned and operated . Their attention to detail and interaction with their guests was so refreshing. The hotel and dining rooms were spotlessly clean. The entire staff was attentive and courteous. My wife and I agreed this was a truly exceptional experience . We would not hesitate to recommend the Hotel Eiger and look forward to a return visit to this charming hotel with incomparable views.

This family owned and run hotel is absolutely wonderful. The hospitality is first rate, the rooms are very well appointed, many with unbelievable views. Both dining rooms have spectacular views of the Alps as well as really excellent meals.

The village of Murren is a wonderful "carless" Alpine place and always worth the visit. And though there are other places to stay here, we would always return to Hotel Eiger and the "family" away from home.

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms looking out to the Peaks. The hillside view rooms are great rooms, too, knowing y...

I and my wife, tourists from Japan, were totally satisfied with this hotel, and hoped that we could have stayed longer. Located in a charming village of Murren, and just in front of the Murren train station, this is a clean and comfortable hotel with warm atmosphere and well equipped guest rooms. The dinner we chose, Swiss fondu with Valais red wine, was excellent. Although it was raining on the afternoon we arrived, the next morning we found, in front of our room, imposing view of Eiger, Muench, and Jung Frau all shining in Morgen Rote. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and provided us with breakfast boxes because we decided to check out early in the morning. We were hence able to catch the first train from Lauterbrunnen through Kleine Scheidegg up to Jungfraujoh, and enjoy, under the perfect weather, the 360 degree view of the Berner Oberland Alps before it became too crowded by tourists. With hearty thanks to Hotel Eiger Murren, Kazuo and Hiroko.
