“Really Poor Food, Service OK”
Reviewed June 12, 2013

One of us had a pizza - looked like a canned pizza mix. It tasted even worse than it looked. The tiny salad bar was ok (not bad). The rostii was unimaginative and rather dry. Had a small bottle of Murren Wine and the bill was about $90. Horribly overpriced for this low quality food. I compare all Murren restaurants to the Stager Stubli and the SS is MUCH MUCH better for about the same price.

“Awful service”
Reviewed April 4, 2013 via mobile

The atmosphere is very welcoming, like most of the restaurants in Mürren. I can't complain about the food because my beef rosti was incredible!!! But the service?!?!? Really a pity! It took almost 2 hours since we ordered to get our food!!!! And the restaurant wasn't full!! Never again! Sorry, shame but true!

“VERY EXPENSIVE. SIMPLE FOOD AND BASIC DRINKS”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

We visited this place several times: it is the subsidiary of the Jungfrau Hotel (attached building): the positive point is its location in front of the ski-slopes. But the food is basic and repetitive and in the menu everything is really too expensive. We believe their price list would need to be reviewed.
The problem of Murren, if you need to eat or drink, you are *trapped* as there are no many options nor alternatives (there is a small supermarket on the main street).
We hope this advice can be of some help to other future travellers.

“EXPENSIVE BASIC FOOD AND BASIC DRINKS”
Reviewed March 2, 2013

For a coffee cup be prepared to give them 6 franks.
I have nothing to add . I sufggest you go to the COOP supermaket and bring your own meal when you are hungry (an apple, or some soft drink or you prepare your own thermos bottle with warm water). I can accept to pay 5 euro in Cafe FLorian in Venice where I am served with a choice of blends of coffees and teas with pastries with a view on the Square and hosted by a waiter in uniform in front of a piano concert. But here you have a view on the kids´ski school, that is all.

“Quiet hotel and restaurant”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

Only one other family in the restaurant at dinner. I believe it could have been because we were there in early June when it had just reopened for the summer.
