“Worth a stop”
Reviewed July 19, 2014

Worth a stop for a beer or cappuccino if you're up on the Schilthorn to take in an absorb the views. Can't vouch for the food.

“Nice enough food”
Reviewed July 13, 2014

Bit pricy but expected, nice tasty food, abrupt service typical of somewhere which has hordes of tourists the service suffers,
but that apart a pleasant enough experience

“Amazing dining views!”
Reviewed July 13, 2014

The trip to the top of the Schilthorn was incredible. The views were jaw dropping. I can't say more than that. It must be experienced first hand to appreciate the scale and awe of the surrounding snow capped peaks, the plunging depths and the roiling clouds beneath.

The restaurant was very good, as well! The Goulash was fabulous and the cheese platter very generous. The Rostii with smoked salmon was a surprisingly good combination. The smoked salmon had an exquisite flavor. Please note, I disagree with negative comments on the food...we were very pleased in July of 2014.

All this while sitting in a restaurant that slowly revolved, giving equal time to the surrounding splendor.
Dress is casual, as might be expected.

A memorable day, well spent. Highly recommend the trip and the food.

“Great views, friendly waiter”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

We decided to try the restaurant because it was not crowded and we wanted to take in more views while relaxing. The waiter who served us was very friendly. We went there around 11 am, and the place was not crowded. We got to sit anywhere we wanted as long as the table was not reserved. The best thing was how easy going the staff were. We ordered just coffee (so did many others dining around us) but they were cool with it. You are not obligated to order buffet or brunch unless you really want to. Not sure if the scenario is different on a busy day.

“Excellent Rotating Views, Food -- Not So Good”
Reviewed June 30, 2014

We took the Tram up from Murren to Schilthorn on a grey overcast rainy day. However, once we arrived, things began to clear somewhat, so we saw quite a bit. Because we arrived hungry, we settled into the Piz Gloria restaurant, which rotates completely around in about an hour. That was really cool. And, of course, one of the first 007 movies was filmed at this location, giving it an added bonus of interest.

However, the food was quite awful. We had burgers and my husband had spaghetti. The meat in the burgers was awful -- mystery meat that had been reheated. The fries were cold. And pasta is pretty difficult to ruin, but they did a great job doing just that. The service was mediocre and the place was practically empty. Not surprising given our experience.
