“A must see”

The views are spectacular - even if you can't climb all the way to the top. And the little room off the fenecula at the top is very interesting - do stop and watch the video and see the pictures.

“Nothing special”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

We took the little furnicular to the Reichenbach Falls.

I enjoyed the view of Meiringen going up more than the actual Falls themselves. From the book, I had probably imagined something like Niagara Falls so Reichenbach Falls in September failed to impress me!

“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

The funicular railway is a 100+ year old masterpiece in itself. The view from the top is good, but the walk to reach the "Holmes-Moriarty encounter" is more of a problem (for the unfit.) There wasn't enough water coming over to do justice to the story, but it clearly would be awesome under suitable conditions.

“Fantastic!”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

It was a dream of all my life to see this place, so, for me it was something! It is easy to be found and there is a special cable-cars system to go to the mounting, You will find a little information there about the fight between Holmes and Moriarty and everything you may need to make good pictures.

Good price, walking distance from the town, nice hotel at the top to stop for a drink and a bite to eat.
