“Technical Issues, service overshadowed food”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

The service was pretty slow, from ordering to the end. We ordered a fixed price meal for two, with a chicken dish and crispy grilled duck. The appetizer and the entrees tasted great -- no complaints with the food at all.

Then we waited for the dessert of fried banana ... and waited ... you get the idea. Finally, I managed to flag (I mean actually waving) down the waiter. Only then he admitted that the fryer had "broken" and it would be a while longer. (Note to owner: teach your people to be flexible and honest, perhaps offering a substitute.) Well, it finally came. Then the bill; after waiting quite a bit more. He brought the credit card machine to the table and ran my wife's credit card. "It wouldn't take it." Really? We tried my card, and it ran OK -- but the paper tape ran out (he forgot to notice the warning). (We charged on her card the day after at another restaurant with no problems.)

“Tasty value”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

A small place-therefore off limits to large groups in Interlaken. This thai/ chinese serves good food. Helpful and attentive waiting staff and good selection of drinks. This was a jewel in Interlaken and a safe place for an inexpensive and nutritious meal. Children are welcome here. Attentive staff and good atmosphere.

“Bad attitude and dishonest menu”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

We ordered two Vietnamese beef noodles but we were just served the plain soup noodle with only few slides of meat and some spring onion. We asked the staff if it was supposed to have side herbs/salads served, the staff kept saying yes and promising it was coming. After 20 mins waiting and our noodle cooled down, the herbs/ salad still didn't come.

We asked the boss for the herbs/salad, and showed the pictures on the menu, the boss told me the pictures were just for reference, dont believe what was shown in the picture, and the herbs/salad wasn't supposed to come with the noodle. However, 5 mins later the boss gave us only one portion of unfresh salad and said "Enough" with a rude attitude, which make us even more angry.

Even though in the end the two portions of salad were served, we don't consider this restaurant provides good customer services or at least they don't offer fair service to the customers from different countries.

“nice surroundings with high trees - savoury food - would certainly return”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

I was cordially received and affably attended by the waiter of viatnamese origin. Nevertheless he was speaking the local language (swiss german) error-free. To all my questions I received accurate answers. At noontime I could choose among the menus of the day: small mixed salad, rice with vegetables and some prawns (Sezuan style), around 20 CHF only. The dish was very savoury. I do not hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

“Amazing Asian food”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

We had mix of Thai and Chinese food here. The soups were very lightly flavoured with authentic aroma of herbs, spices. Each of the entrees had authentic flavours. Thye also had Vitenamese and Burmese dishes. As the name suggests if you want to try Truly Asian food in Swtzerland try Truly Asia. Like any other restuarant in Switzerland be prepared to pay upwards of CHF 30 per person. But its worth it.
