I could not agree more with the review HRD 58 , 3/7/13. We stayed in the hotel for a week at this same time. The staff were very courteous and friendly, but the dining room was completely held together by Mario, the Portugese waiter. When he took his two rest days, the dining room was chaotic and became very inefficiently run.

I was visiting Interlaken and wanted Indian food. Its a full fledged hotel but I stopped by only for Supper. Food is expensive & not value for money. Taste wasn't authentic Indian and not really up to my palate. Stewardess are very beautiful. The gentleman at reception is very very helpful - so meticulously guided us on a map how to reach the Bahnhof.

This hotel had a great reputation and was our hotel of choice. Formerly it was family run, but was sold at the beginning of 2013. It is now the centre for coach tours and hoards of people come in daily. The breakfast buffet was decimated early in the morning and was not replenished. The evening meal commenced with packet soup and the food although edible, was at best average. When the chef was off, we were given frozen convenience food....not what one would expect in Switzerland. The room was very small and poorly equipped with one small cupboard and no drawer space. The bathroom was tiny.
However I cannot compliment the staff enough for their friendliness and their willingness to help at all times - they are an asset to the hotel

The Harder Minerva Hotel provided us with a fantastic location near both rail stations for daily outings, a very clean and hospitable place to stay, and two most enjoyable meals daily. After six nights, my family and friends weren't nearly ready to leave this small, family-owned hotel. Although this was a budget priced property, the hospitality was first class. English is fluently spoken at the front desk and in the dining room, the hotel has a lift, the rooms were small but well appointed, the service was outstanding, and the welcome was genuine.

Loved it.

Room Tip: Some rooms have small balconies, while others looked out on the street - both were fine. If you need a tub rather than shower, be sure to ask when reserving your room as this varies from room to room.

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel and it was not good. The room was not clean, the building smells, the bathroom was small, lamp was broken, no heating, and you have to pay for wi-fi and parking. Better to choose a hotel on the outskirts of Interlaken.
