The caravan was nice and cosy and they recommended great places to visit. The site manager was very friendly and the atmosphere was clean. We had a great time. They should improve their connection services inside of the caravans.

“Good base from which to see Interlaken”

Switzerland is an expensive country. Staying in a hotel in the Interlaken area is upwards of USD300/night and more. So a trailer/camper van is a logical option at 80Euro a night where 3 adults and 2 kids can sleep. My expectations were not high, so they were met. The beds were ok to sleep on for four nights. Dishwasher and cooking equipment worked just fine. Space to sit outside and eat and read. These trailers, however, are a bit old and could do with an update, so if you understand all this and go in with moderate expectations, then you'll be fine. The trailer park offers some amenities: you'd have access to a little "beach" area for the kids to play with the sand and get their feet wet in the lake. There is a great restaurant on the premises -- very nice -- that was open before 6.00pm (shocking for Europe!) that serves cold beer, pizza and salads (at about 7/730pm, then a full dinner menu is available) and right next to the restaurant is a little playground area. You can also order fresh bread and rolls for the next morning from a little store. You can buy WIFI minutes from the store, but really only access if you are standing next to the store -- we couldn't use it in our caravan (although they were very nice about refunding the cost). The best benefit, of course, is inexpensive access to all that Interlaken offers: gorgeous mountains, hiking, and lakes, and definitely don't miss http://ballenberg.ch/en/Welcome -- fabulous!

Liked best: Access to Interlaken and the restaurant.
Liked least: The caravan was a little small for all of us. Would have gotten two for the 5 of us :)
