We went to this restaurant because we wanted to try Korean food but I do not recommend it.

They seam to be somehow connected to the travel agencies because the place was full of groups of Korean tourists that were quickly coming and going and the staff was very busy serving them.

The food is average at most and they have no dessert (or they told us so). We never tasted Korean food before but I had the impression it could be much better. You also pay the same price as for a fancy restaurant but the place is far from it.

The worse was the bathroom - very crowded and dirty, avoid if possible.

Knowing the high prices one is expected to pay on a Swiss vacation, this restaurant takes the cake in terms of ripping off tourists. Coming from Los Angeles, we were quite familiar with Korean cuisine. The restaurant was average size, but somehow the tables were quite cramped. They did not serve tap water, so we were forced to buy beverages. A cup of tea was CHF 4.50, from a tea bag! You are allowed ONE refill of hot water. Wow. I ordered a CHF 9 bowl of dumpling soup for my child. It had 3 tiny obviously frozen from a bag dumplings in some egg drop soup. Because apparently some dishes did not come with rice, an extra bowl of white rice was CHF 5! We ordered bulgogi, which was cooked at table side. There was a minimum of 2 orders, which totalled CHF 70 just for this one dish. On top of that, I have never seen such thickly hacked meat, which is in contrast to the thinly sliced tender bulgogi that I am accustomed to. We spent 12 days in Switzerland, and would rate this the worst dining experience overall.

Kang Chon serves a wide variety of genuine Korean food, both as regular dishes and as rare meats that one cooks on his own on a small heating system. The degree of spiciness can be ordered and will be carefully observed. After a few days of (relatively) dull Swiss cuisine this was indeed a nice surprise.
The service was very friendly & informative (fluent English & Swiss German) and prices very reasonable. A large group of Koreans seemed to be very satisfied.
