This restaurant was recommended by our hosts as they always go with the family on New Years Eve and it proved to be a good choice. We had a set "2 course" meal rather than the 3 course and this was wise because 2 courses turned out to 4. We skipped the anti pasta buffet but were served a very good dumpling soup and then a large plate of roast lamb and pork with rosti. This was odd because the menu had said "3 roast meats" but we worked our way through the fairly large meal only to be presented with an equally large plate of roast beef with another (different) rosti. We had wondered why a large number of people were still in the restaurant after finishing their meals earlier but we were informed that they were waiting for the dessert buffet which (in Swiss fashion) you were not permitted to have until 10:30pm. Given what we had eaten, this was not a serious concern for us. The buffet was excellent with a huge choice and is obviously one of the restaurants attractions. All in all it was a good, if not outstanding meal and the service relatively slow which, again, we didn't mind. I can understand some of the criticism but we found the food competent, the staff very friendly and helpful and the bottle of Schnapps left on the table for you to sample (no charge) while waiting for your bill, a nice touch
