Every time at this hotel brings back wonderful memories and creates new ones.
The rooms, the staff, the restaurants ( try the new 41 - quarantuno ) and of course the views of that majestic mountain.......

Room Tip: ask for Jungfrau view and hope for good weather. You will never forget it.

We stayed here for our 20th anniversary. The staff offered us an upgrade to a wonderful room. We then went for a daytrip to Bern and Thun. When we got back we were surprised to find a bottle of Champagne, box of chocolate, sweets, and fruits, a Happy anniversary card, and rose petals beautifully arranged in an heart shape on our bed! The staff really made our stay a very special one! Breakfast was the best ever out of our 45 days stay in Europe! They even have Chinese porridge to suit our Asian taste buds! The location was great for walking around Interlaken, but if with big luggages you would be better off taking a cab to the train station. We really loved this hotel and we will definitely return to Interlaken and stay at Victoria Jungfrau.

Took my wife here for a surprise birthday weekend.

The room was a deluxe double with views of the Jungfrau.

Room: very spacious, well equipped. The bathroom may seem a little dated to some, but it was very clean and shower was very powerful and suitable for tall people (thank you).

Staff: Extremely friendly and helpful. My only criticism is that when making the booking on the phone I was told that the deluxe double room was not large enough to accommodate their hotel provided baby-bed/cradle/cot, so I asked if we brought our own cot, would this be acceptable, to which the person in reservations replied yes. When checking in at the hotel, the receptionist asked if we would like a baby-bed (yes we were surprised) ... we explained what reservations had told us and the receptionist said she would take care of it. When we arrived at the room we couldn't help but laugh, because the room was huge and could have accommodated 10 baby-beds not just one.

Spa - my wife took full advantage and received an amazing massage.

Breakfast - beautiful room with awesome views. Food choice and quality is superb.

Lunch - we took a late lunch in the Italian restaurant and were very happy with the food, service and ambiance.

What could be improved ...

1) We had dessert on the terrace. The coffee was good however the chocolate/banana cake/gateau was disappointing ... too dry and not very tasty.
2) We had hot chocolate late one evening in the bar area and it was of an extremely poor quality for such a high class hotel.

Room Tip: room 170 is recommended

The moment we drive past the stretch which passed various hotels and finally reaching Victoria Jungfrau, the grand view of the hotel impressed us immediately. We're given a great room with a mountain view. The room is very spacious and clean with really comfortable bed. Location of the hotel is very convenient as there are shops around it which open till 8pm and restaurants as well as a casino nearby. The hotel also offers a good spread for its breakfast.

A few days here was the perfect balm to a chaotic existence. The hotel is a beautiful blend of the traditional and modern and the ideal location for an off-site business meeting. We were helped by fantastic weather but the views are amazing and the bar and restaurants consistently good. For Americans, please be ready for smaller rooms, two duvets on a bed and a tiny TV screen that needs to be wheeled out to view, but these are effectively irrelevant to the enjoyment of the hotel.

The spa is huge and excellent and the clay tennis courts fun to play on.

Not cheap, but great value

Room Tip: Get the view from the front of the hotel!

Pros:
- I would not hesitate to stay again
- Great Location (across from park and on main street Approx half way between the two train stations).
- Palatial
- Clean
- Elevators (two different locations)
- Exceptionally friendly staff
- Comfortable beds
- Nice breakfast overlooking the park with snow capped mountains in the background, delicious food with great quality and variety
- Complimentary use of two computer terminals (Internet access and checking e-mail)

Cons: Little pricy for some budgets but well worth the price considering the memorable opportunity to be spoiled by the staff and the hotel’s beautiful surroundings.

- Compliments For The Staff: Special recognition and thanks to the breakfast Maître d' (Mr. Emmenegger) who expertly led his entire team with the finesse of a concert conductor leading his symphony orchestra. Also special thanks to the lead Concierge (Mr Jose (Sp??? - Joseph???) who patiently provided expert guidance regarding the hotel, restaurants, local Interlaken area and wonderful sightseeing trip suggestions.

- Hotel Price: Perhaps a little pricy for some budgets. By booking exceptionally early (4 Jan 2013 which was four months in advance), I obtained an unbelievable special promotion rate for my party of three adults: Approx $150 US Per Nt single and $208 double with both including breakfast. The rooms were spacious and very well appointed with large bathrooms, excellent lighting and nice flat screen TV.

- Considering our luxurious surroundings, and the fact that we are common folks from Georgia and Indiana who are not wealthy, the entire staff treated us like royalty and could not do enough to ensure our visit was happy and peaceful. Breakfast was elegantly hosted in a room with glass walls overlooking the alps, and illuminated by beautiful chandeliers. After enjoying our first breakfast, subsequent mornings began with the breakfast Maître d' greeting us by name, escorting us to our favorite table and even remembering which beverages we preferred to start our day. Every aspect of the hotel was exemplary including the room, hotel facility and staff. You cannot beat the hotel’s location and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the parasailer’s land in the park directly across from the hotel. In the afternoon there is café service on the patio in front of the hotel and comfortable seating areas inside the hotel with unobstructed views of the mountains and surroundings. We stayed for a total of six nights and honestly did not want to leave. We did not use the Spa, and could not take photos of the pool or spa area because access is limited: Guests must be dressed in appropriate pool/spa attire and wearing the hotel provided robe.

- Bus Transport: There is bus stops close to the hotel which provides easy access to either of the two train stations. The buses were clean, neat and safe and although we had complimentary bus rides as part of our Swiss Train Pass, no one ever asked to see the papers.
Train Station: Both train stations were easily accessible. At Interlaken Ost (Interlaken East) you will find train access to the Alps, Bern, Basil, Lucern, Zurich, Etc and boat dock access for Lake Brienz. There is also a Coop grocery store and restaurant right across the square from OST station. At the West train station you will find a Migros market and restaurant and train access to boat launch for Lake Thun.

- Lace Shop: On the main street there is a lovely family run lace shop called “Heimtextilien & Souvenirs: at 117 Hoheweg Street (a short walk from the hotel along the main street towards OST train station). What I liked best about the shopping experience was the proprietor’s honesty because she did not hesitate to identify which lace was Swiss handmade (most expensive), Swiss machine made (less expensive), or German machine made (least expensive). We felt that the shop offered good quality at reasonable prices and remain very happy with our purchases intended for our home use and as gifts.

- Washateria (Laundry): There are two in Interlaken. The first one (closest to the main street) was closed for some reason (a Monday), and the second laundry (by a river) was open but hardly worth the effort. At the riverfront laundry tourists were losing money in the dilapidated washing machines due to instructions so faded you couldn’t read them, and equipment with 30 years of wear and tear. And, although there were six dryers we discovered only one had any heat. After wasting two hours and numerous Swiss Francs (as we watched our cloths rotate in a cold dryer), we finally gave up and took our wet laundry back to the hotel to hang and dry in the room.

Room Tip: Book early and watch for special promotions. Due to the location of the hotel and it's surround...

We stayed for a company incentive trip-and what could be more perfect? A luxurious property in a location of constantly breathtaking views. Add to that the warm, friendly and always-eager-to-please staff, fabulous food and a very nice single room. Restaurants, cafes and shops are all close by. Hard to beat!
