This family run hotel was fantastic. From the second we walked in until we left they could not have been nicer and more helpful in making our stay wonderful. The hotel is nice and clean and the breakfast is plentiful. But the charm here are the owners, who help with advice, maps, tickets and never ending questions about how to spend your time in this gorgeous region. We loved our stay.

From our warm welcome to our cosy room, beautifully decorated and furnished, to the stunning views over the mountains our stay with Gabriela and Gary was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts from advice about how to get the best out of our stay in the Jungfrau to booking tickets, whilst we just got on with our holiday. Their knowledge of the local area is second to none and they even arranged some perfect weather. Gabriela and Gernhard’s attention to detail and their kindness and courtesy made our stay at their hotel very memorable. We hope to return soon.

From the minute we walked into the Hotel Gletschergarten we felt at home. The hotel is full of character, the owners and staff so helpful nothing was too much trouble. Their help with train, cable car, bus times invaluable and the views from the hotel were breathtaking. We had dinner there for two nights and like the breakfast everything was fresh and plentiful. Our stay was all too short, we feel so lucky we picked this hotel,it made our holiday.

What a lovely stay! We had 2 rooms and they could not have been nicer, cleaner or more comfortable. The husband-wife owners can NOT do enough for you and the free expansive breakfast coupled with a game room with ping pong, foosball and pool table were the cherry on top.

We travelled throughout Switzerland and this was our favorite stay.

Oh, and the view out of the front of the property? You have to see it to believe it.

Lovely and Beautiful chalet with great views of mountains. Room 36 faces the Mtn.and has wrap around balcony with table for two. The 4th generation owners Gabriela and Gary's kindness and attention to detail made this our favorite stay in two weeks of traveling in Europe.
The chef of 30 years perfectly prepares four course elegant meals at a great price. We dined hear every night. Delicious healthy breakfast buffet is included in your stay. The owners gave expert travel advice and we saved by buying mountain tram tickets from the hotel. The owners pickup and return their guest to the train station about a mile in town. This hotel is at the end of the business strip so is quiet and more beautiful but everything is still in easy walking distance. Gary gave us the best train route back to Zurich with the simplest transfer and Gabriela made sure we made our train on time. We met and enjoyed conversation with other travelers from around the world in the cozy and intimate dinning room. The owners make everyone feel at home. We look forward to returning to this special place again.

Room tip: Room 36 has large warp around balcony on third floor.
