Located in the center of Grindelwald, what mean, you can simply walk to Mt.First cable, Terasswegen Erlenpromenade and ect. The weather was pretty bad when we stayed there and the staff was very helpful with suggestions for what to do in rainy days.
The room was comfortable with a fantastic view of the Eiger from the window.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the south side of the hotel. The view is fantastic

Absolutely central in the heart of Grindelwald. Very close to station and with small own parking lot (and opposite to bigger external parking option). The rooms are modest and a bit clairaudient, but comfortable, fully equipped, lovely and well-priced. Very friendly and helpful staff. Perfectly working IT connection (also for business purposes).

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view to the Eiger... And you can forget about IMAX ;-)

Very helpful staff, easy access to slope transport & train station, good breakfasts & comfortable/clean bedrooms with fantastic mountain views. Will be returning & would recommend this hotel for a ski trip to Grindelwald especially if travelling by train.

A two/ three star interior with basic clean and a bit dated rooms. No room tea/ coffee although a plentiful and free supply by the reception. Free wireless internet which requires a daily logon with a code from reception. A well stocked minibar, thin walls and noisy ceilings, and a very basic breakfast - few cold meats and tin fruit cocktail were some of the highlights. On the plus side a superb location literally 30 m from the station so very handy with luggage. The hilly Grindelwald is not a place to be lugging heavy luggage about! The main road facing rooms with small balconies gives a fabulous view of the surrounding mountain range, and by judging the location of the hotel it must be one of the best hotel room views in the town. The views can be replicated in the quite comfortable verandah seating area on the reception level where I spent a very enjoyable evening sipping bear brought from the conveniently placed snack bar on the ground floor of the hotel. I would certainly consider staying again.

Checked red and white curtains, wooden panelled walls and a stunning view from the balcony: the Bernerhof delivered the typical picture postcard atmosphere I wanted in Switzerland.

We didn't book but turned up en route, it was the third hotel we tried and were glad the other two were full as the Bernerhof offered a clean, pretty room with a stunning view for around £100 with breakfast. Staff were really helpful with advice about local excursions.
